Hi all. I wanted to stop in and post some of my favorite tunes here from this week. I'm not affiliated with any of the artists - just wanting to point folks to some good tunes (while I watch the Titans and Colts), so here goes...

1. Artist: Jimi Ninja. At the top of the list is a tune "Swing the Bat" by Jimi Ninja. The tune reminds me a little of "Tubthumping" by Chumbawumba with the various changes in the song. The other tune on the page - "Angel" - is more of a Rock anthem and is worth a listen too.

2. Artist: Stasis. Give all 3 songs "Leaving for Chicago," "On the Balcony" and "Snapshot" a listen. The band's sound is somewhat in the vein of Third Eye Blind. Solid uptempo rock songs.

3. Artist: Shane McKenzie. Couple of "fun" pop tunes with high production value. "Get Back" has a neo-discoey feel, and "Ride into the Sunset" is good mainstream pop tune. Note there's only an option to stream audio here, no download options

4. Artist: Absent Ashes. "Every Turn is Blind". Not sure how to classify this song... melodic, uplifting.... I like it

5. Artist: Tilterworld. "Broken" is worth a listen. I like the mix of heavy guitar and synths. similar to blend of Evanesence and White Zombie.

6. Artist: The Awkward Romance. Give "Blue Sunday" a listen.

7. Artist: Sidewalk Shadows. Give "The Paranoid" a listen. Heavy pop/rock oriented tune.

8. Artist: Refuge Found. OK... the production and performance on this song are rough at best, but this is a tune I've downloaded that I find myself going back to listen to. I really like the underlying songwriting and song - style is similar to Goo Goo Dolls.

9. Artist: Audioponic. "Fading" is a catchy quick hitter at 2:15

10. and finally.... I believe everyone on the site has already heard Boomshanker's "Blue Tuesday" , but if not, it really is a radio ready tune...

Go Titans..., and good listening

Hi Iguana,

I took a listen to the two tunes you had posted here on unsignedbandweb.com. Your music is coming from a _real_ place and I completely respect that. I liked "Seems like rain today" better than "Face of the World." The backing vocals are interesting - something different - throwback to 50s/early 60s sounds.

While the musical style doesn't completely connect with me (I've got to be honest because I don't want to blow smoke), I appreciate what you've put together.
