Lately...it has become harder and harder to come up with my own songs...laying down drum loops and bass lines etc. etc.... and is honestly a lot of work to sit here and do all that.....and then i lose interest,,,,,so, I was thinking about collaborating with some of you fine artists out there who might need some guitar work on your tracks....
free of charge of course.......if ya dont like it...then dont use it...lol...hahaa
you can go to www.myspace.com/larrygunn
and see that i can play the geetar!!!
I have Acid Pro 6.0 and SoundForge 8.0 and a massive collection of VST plug-ins to incorporate a solid guitar track into your music.....and then mix and master the track as if I were there recording with you......
if your interested.......let me know...or give me the WAV or MP3 i can use both,
also......I WILL NOT any way use any of your music without permission from you! |

Hey Gunner, just checked out some of your stuff (for the first time), you noy got a UBW link?? went on myspace anyhoo...cheers for helping me with the amp settings/guitar issues i have, don't mean to jump in on this canada/america conversation you have going on, lol, im from the uk so i definately dont see any of you over the river...
anyway, to digress slightly, im loving your guitar playing mate, though i have to admit i was only attracted to it by your arrogance, eg anyone want me to collaborate etc, as you can see from the music i play etc...
all i can say is its nice to hear someone:-
1. Thinks Confidantly of they're music
and 2. actually has a reason to...
Keep going mate i think you could make it as a solo artist, though from what ive read on your myspace aswell im guessing after 30 years of playing your at least 20 years old!!! id personally would like to see you do a variety of instrumentals, to maybe get into film scores etc, you deffinately have the fingers and the composition skills to acheive the music necessary with a variety of moods/sounds that you want to pull off/create..
id love to work on some tunes with you mate, but alas, i fear i maybe to far across the globe...
would love to hear any comments you have about our clips of practises we have up on UBW though, espescially from a guitar point of veiw...
Keep rocking guys, apparently not being fulfilled in music is SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN to cause depression...
(and i've copyrighted that so if they ever do prove it i'll make billions)... |

Your welcome for the settings and such......and thank you very much for the compliment......i didnt mean for the post to sound arrogant......anyway.....what i meant as far as guitar work on your track......send me an mp3 or wav file....i would add the guitar work to it and send it back to you for approval and or changes if needed......not in person but electronically....i have all the software to mix and master the final cut......but anyway.......again i appreciate the compliment....and am gonna head over and check out your music as soon as i am done writing this.....
Cheers!! |

we already have two guitars and that's all we have. we play way different styles, too. or at least different than what i listened to. it's really good and the production quality is nice. anyone that sends you their tracks can be assured that they'll get a quality product in return. that's really cool of you to do this.
i'm currently working on some solo home recordings, which sound nowhere near as professional as what you do. i'm a novice with my studio gear. i just figured out how to determine (count) and adjust the time in my tracks. i've been playing guitar for like 15 years or so and never worried about it. needless to say i've suddenly made great progress with my endeavors. if i ever get anything worth a crap put together, i'll send something your way for sure. in the meantime, check out our profile if you haven't already. it's worth a crap. |

Thanks for the comment......im just tired of sitting here trying to put together complete songs.....going through 4 gigs of drum loops and 2 gigs of bass loops to get the right beat etc,,,,so this way,,,,if all i had to do was concentrate on just playing guitar to a track......anyway,,,
dont sell yourself short on the production and playing there bud, i listened to "Let The Man Breath" and you guys are excellent acoustic players.......and the recording sounds very good....at least to me it does...well,,,,gotta get my A** to work, thanks again.....
here is a link to some really good mastering tips

I listened to the improv practices.....my first thought was of The Doors,
guitar sounds good...but if there is some way you guys could get a better recording so you dont have that live sound and then do some tweaking with the levels...that song would rock.....no doubt.
you guys keep rockin!!!! |

Cheers Gunner, all we are doing at the moment is jamming and getting riffs/ ideas ready for songs, we literally have like 3 hrs practise of jamming, 4-5 mins ends up on here...lol... for now it is just a mic'd up room but when we work on a song properly it will get the proper recording treatment.... never thought of sending mp3's 'duh' lol, ill bear that in mind and get in touch if we start working on a tune that i would like some help with, you dont play organ or violin do you??
apologies about the arrogance comment mate, bad choice of words...lol... i meant more confidence really, i always like musicians with confidence in what they're doing, and most of my fovourite bands have an air of arrogance about them, so i didnt mean it in a bad way, my choice of wording held no elequence that night, a certain mr stella artios had invaded my body and mind... (see Breathaliser post) lol
once again cheers for the nice comments, and sorry for the drunken post bud |
