Shocked Dont Dance video is now loaded on www.myspace.com/midas take a gander...what do you think? Single due for release so have a listen to that too if you have time.

Till then......

Review from Subba Culture - they review all singles due for release. This is what they had to say about Midas.

MIDAS - DON’T DANCE -
Whether they’re mocking Fall Out Boy or just trying to beat them at their own game, Midas are onto a winner, unbelievably catchy hooks, fast paced danceable rhythms, and the yearning hooks that assure they’re head and shoulders above the competition… Brilliant stuff!

Get Ready to Rock say about Midas

Midas hail from the West Midlands here in the UK and they have produced a superbly catchy, fast paced tune in "Dont Dance" . Once you get the blighter onto your stereo you can't stop playing it! Great guitars, neat harmonies and a vocoder - Peter Frampton's legacy lives on!

This review put Midas in the top 3 of their monthly new singles review, just behind Europe Confused and Enter Shakari Very Happy

The trick is converting these reviews into downloads, as you can imagine its very competitive - so even if its not your cup of tea please consider spending anything from 79p (1 Chart point) to £3.79 (5 chart points) to help the lads get into the main UK Charts. Its quick and simple to do - your vote of confidence registers as soon as you order - even if you do not actually download. The chart points generated are held by the system until the day of the release. To order you simply need a email address and credit card detail, the system (Indies store and 7 digital) is safe and secure and is used by all the top bands. A maxi of three orders from each IP address is legitimate so long as a different email address is used you can buy em for family too :jester: .

Ta for reading - dont forget take a look at the Video & the making off/time lapse extra's...

For those of a nervous disposition - not keen on buying Don't Dance on line; there is now an alternative.

You can now do this via mobile phone and will cost from between 79p to a max of £1.50 depending on your mobile service provider. Each mobile phone number can do this once; so the more people involved the greater number of chart points generated. So do ask the person sitting next to you ;o)

The band have just 2 weeks before Don't Dance is released so the pressure to make the National UK Charts is now really on - be great if you could help,

All you have to do is Text

"MIDAS" to 78789

Well, we've all been there, the lassie that won't take no for an answer. But no matter how much you protest, she wins in the end. For no matter how inept we are, we always think that spasmodic shuffling will get us laid. We're wrong of course but Midas are the latest bunch of shouty young 'uns to put up a fight. And a good fight it is as the frenetic driving rhythm and howl along chorus does much to lift them above the grey, shapeless mass of indie rock. Don't be put off by the praise emanating from Kerrap! They may have Panic! At The Disco inclinations, but they're much better than that suggests.

Sean Coleman (Kerrang! Radio)
"Midas look set to be one of the top indie bands of 2007"

Jason Ritchie (Classic Rock Newswire)
"They have produced a superbly catchy, faced-paced tune in 'Don't Dance'. Once you get the blighter onto your stereo, you can't stop playing it! More please!"

HardRockHouse.com
"Midas do commercial hooks and jangly, staccato guitars. Dealing with a night out at a club somewhere the track may be called 'Don't Dance' but it lies: this will get you dancing.

VanityProject.co.uk "Brash rock from Stourbridge, which I’ve always thought to be a pretty rock town. Consider this more evidence. ‘Don’t Dance’ bounces like a young Dave Lee Roth on a car bonnet. Vibrant, and all ready for piling onto the dancefloor, the synth squirt an extra incentive to get amongst.

RockMidgets.com
"It's surprisingly hard to pigeonhole Stourbridge fivesome Midas. At times they sound like the long lost brothers of fellow UK breakers Boy Kill Boy, yet their smartly timed electro influences and punchy chorus tend to lead them more imminently toward the sound of Disco Ensemble et al.
