Here's another thing I wrote, which I finished Friday evening. It's called "Glass Ceiling", and I'm pretty sure it's easy to grip the idea behind it...
"Glass Ceiling"
Sweeping air pulls me off my feet.
Flood of feathers sits to cushion me
if I should ever fall
too fast.
Thin glass
is a ceiling that divides sky and space.
-And I am just an object of matter,
so as I float up into weather,
I keep myself whole and settled.
I just close my eyes...
(Chorus):
It carries me.
It carries me.
It carries me far away...
It carries me
to a distant, soothing place,
that to most is held at bay-
peace...
(Interlude)
(First Verse Repeats)

As I float through all kinds of weather,
I keep myself whole and settled.
I just close my eyes-
close my eyes and see...
the next time I rise from my feet.
The floor of feathers will remain,
in case I should ever fall.
Perhaps,
if I land,
I'll be somewhere beyond sky and space.

Peace can lift me through glass.
If I break through..., I'll meet stars.
I won't need any feathers below to cushion me,
over Earth; over all...

Wow long time no see Ricter, nice job here i love the dedication and love, it's great. Peace dosn't fall without a price not even if that peace happens to fall on a vacumm of nothing, i guess even that comes with a catch. Can you check some of my new once, i'm sure you'll like it. |

Hey man. Thanks.
But the peace I was talking about is inner peace. For the most part I have it, and metaphorically speaking, that inner peace is the only thing that can lift me high enough to break through glass (the thin barrier in my way) and reach space and stars (my desired destiny).
Also... I have been meaning to check out your (and other) posts, but everytime I'm online, it seems I'm rushing on and off. That's actually the case right now, and even though I'm on here already, it's one of those rare times where I'm just lookin' to see if anyone left feedback before I sign off. But I'll get to checkin' those out when I have some more time on my hands. I'm definitely curious to see the progression of your writing ability. Take care and be safe, my friend... Later!
