This is something I wrote about how a lot of people have opinions, but are so vaguely aware of the subject matter that sparked their opinions, that it kind of astounds me. It's also kind of pathetic to me, and I'm not ashamed to say so. I wrote this a little under a month ago. Here's what I had to say...
"Need Not"
-Rick, "RiCterMan," Strayer, fecit.
Most minds only glide the surfaces.
Whatever happened to depth so rare now?
All that's left is a scrape of the substance.
Very few of us care...
I need not nonsense,
but nonsense is not sent
into silence easily.
Shit is constant.
Context is torment
when it highlights rampant ignorance.
What is the point of thought?
Many hardly ponder.
(Chorus):
I puncture and think not
all the same.
I break below and go
into explorations of intrigue.
There is so much meaning to find,
if we stray from conformity's line.
I won't stand to rise with a hand
that slaps the ones who think beneath the sand.
(Moderately Longer Interlude, envisioned.)
I need not nonsense,
but nonsense is not sensed
by all those who think so uselessly.
There's no concept
of furthering concepts.
"All that is, is all that's been."
What is the point of thought?
Many won't discover.
(Chorus)
(Short Interlude, envisioned.)
So, tell me...;
where is bliss?
Amongst the crowd,
where does it hide?
(Chorus)
(Heavy musical arrangement envisioned, along w/the following words repeated in a chant like manner:)
Without depth, we have shallow.
Most minds only glide the surfaces.
Whatever happened to depth nearly gone now?
All that's left is a scrape of the substance.
But still, mine remains.
EnD
If that seems like an expression of arrogance, it really isn't.... I'm just sick of how everything seems so dried up when spoken of by some people, because no one even seems to care. Thanks to anyone who reads this. Later!
