Hey I'd like to get your opinion on what the top Indie albums of the past few years are. I'm kind of new to the indie scene and I'd like to know what albums an indie music fan should not do without.
I do have The Flaming Lips "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" and some other borderline indie albums but what some other greats?
Any info on the subject would be great!!!

well, i doubt Yoshimi counts as indie, seeing as how it was released on Warner Bros.
some great indie albums:
Slint - Spiderland
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
Minor Threat - Out of Step
Fugazi - 13 Songs
I'll think of some more later... |

Yeah, I guess when I think of indie I think of stuff that isn't typically played on a normal "Major" radio stations. I don't think of the literal definition. Anyway, thanks! I'll take a look at those albums!
