I start this forum for the sake of all video game players.
The history behind the early personal computers were made strictly for games until business came into it.

What VG do you like?

I'm a serious LOZelda fan.
I even bought the 13 episode DVD (not great, but I watched it during Mario Show and Game Master N).
I grew up with NES Zelda.
I still play and expect more in depth playing from Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, and the other upcoming games.
I also like the Metroids, but I prefer the 2D Sidescrolling.
I played MPrime and it's sequel, but I just traded them in.
I checked the 100% for MPrime speed run, since it isn' easy.
The second Prime I was just at the end where you have to defeat 2 bosses (one of them being Dark Samus), but I didn't touch the game for weeks.
I didn't bother finishing it.
And that's where I just stick with the 2D Sidescrollers.

I will read all future replies.
Video Games is one of the greatest things to come out of entertainment.

I love alot of the original nintendo games but I also like new stuff too. I like alot of the zeldas over the years but the original is the best. I really like grand theft auto series, now those are great games and also like to play just about anything. drink

If you do emulation
You could possibly check the neoragex emulation
NeoGeo is known for acade games especially 2d fighters.

I really haven't played the GrandTheftAuto series yet.
They do look stunning.
The other names under it are probably some kind of an expansion to the GTAuto 3 series, right? one by one each year about ever since GTAuto 3 came out.

About the NES games, did you try Xenophobe?
It was a really weird game.
I tried back on emulator I have and it still seems the same to me (just older).
My older brother introduced me to emulation. Either way I was going to know about the VG Emulation on the internet.
It is good since I don't touch my original NES system, because the whole glitch thing.
It takes time to play correctly and that I just prefer playing them on the emulator.

The one thing I never tried doing with emulation is the CD platform systems.
I only know that you have to own the game, but the emulator is the questionable part of it. Over time it would be perfected (probably).

I just like system games over playing over the PC unless a game is only on it.
You could actually trade in system games, but PC games might have to be through the internet to sell (or in-person sale).
That works best on the yearly sports games.

I used to be into a lot of first person shooters.
Used to play Q-test during free peroids at school before Quake 1 came out in .... 96 I think...
I kind of stopped playing them after I was into CounterStrike 1 for a while.
Always been a fan of the Zelda games too. Recently went back and did Link To The Past on Snes emulator again.

And of course - GTA. I've scoured every square inch of all except San Andres. It's so big it'll take forever...
Other series of games I've enjoyed include: Max Payne, Burnout, Medal Of Honour, Conflict: Desert Storm/Global Storm/Vietnam, etc. as well as a lot of others.

These days though, over the last few years I've been headed more and more towards playing guitar and writing music. Much more productive I reckon.

I get into the MYST series. I will be getting MYST 5 sometime this year. I should try the demo to make sure the laptop I use can actually play it, because the graphic card might have to be a different one.
I don't know if laptops could be opened to replace a graphic card or not.
I know nothing of the hardware and that I'm not interested in knowing.

From Seneki's last message:
I played some of Burnout Revenge in a store (a demo) and seems good.
I just haven't played that kind of racing except for the old Test Drive (first 2 i think) and a few of the Need for Speeds (I had the one before the Most Wanted for GameCube).
I just stay with Zelda, Metroid, and some sports games (not a big fan of them).

Oh yeah I forgot Gran Turismo series. Haven't quite finished GT4 just yet but getting there slowly...
I played Myst 3 once - finished it in 8 hours straight. Every puzzle seemed to be multiples of 3's or something...

I know you got confused with GTA and Grand Theft Auto.
I should start typing it out.

I played the Myst games ever since the first or second year Myst 1 came out.
I wasn't sure of the game until more of the games came out.
I became of fan of the point-and-click adventures ever since the 2nd installment.
I didn't bother with URU, because of the 3d 360 look.
I just stick with the # games.

I did play Metroid2 straight through in one sitting. Probably 3-5 hours to beat it.
It still tough when you come up to the bigger metroids before the Ultimate Metroid (forget it's actual name).
I ignore the 3d 360 Metroids. I played Prime 1 and 2, but the feel isn't there. I'm into the classic look. Zero Mission does beat the original, but I still like playing both.

That's why there are adventure video games. It makes the use of it. It takes out the sports games use. You don't to always play sports games unless you play more than one video game at a time. A serious and a fun game. It balances it out.

Have a balance. - (not directly you, but anyone)
Don't always do things outside.
I know I will go back to sports. Only for fun.
The only time I see myself doing xgames is never.
I don't mind watching it on tv.
I'm not really a fan of watching sports on tv.
I watch some ping pong when it is on, but that's not often.
I caught some it on competition and Olympic games.
It is still a sport.

true - it is important to balance things.

I used to do Soccer, tennis, karate and indoor climbing way back when. Now my exercise consists of shredding up the axe a couple of hours a day. Seems to do enough to stay is reasonable shape...

Everyone shoud move around everyday (almost). It should never make anyone worry about being over weight (with a help of less weight of food daily - and the types of food that should be taken). That should keep their height/weight where it should belong (example 5'8" - around 140 lbs. , Male).

I have no problem with that. I just need to exercise more.
