--Notice for everyone that wants to get a real fact about the Christian Music scene--

For anyone that notices, Christian music isn't great for me by sound, unless they don't have the signature sound. One group that sticks out from the Christian scene is Gretchen. They are Christian-Goth. I just got into them this week. Unnoticeable Christian groups work for me, but not the usual replay of EQs used in the Christian scene that makes the voices and music sound simila. I'm not the only one that notices the flaw of that. The only reason I think it's like that is because it's Movement really goes all the way - just like the demands that people should seek God.

I don't get all Jesus inside like anyone else that gets all into it, especially Gospel music (I don't discriminize color people or race, because I'm not a racist. It's just noticeable signature culture for them). White people with ROCK and Electronic. Brown with SOUL and Gospel. Facts right there. But of course I have met or seen people that were into a different genre. I noticed someone was into classic rock or heavy metal and they didn't look like it, because it is automatic when it comes to music. Some people might just don't want to disrespect their own culture. Some just keep a secret especially if they are into death metal or gothic.

Evil or Very Mad "What?"

I'm into gothic music, because I heard songs where the tunes are awesome. The vocals of Amy Lee of Evanescence is incredible. Her vocals are described as operatic. It adds to the feel of goth. (so does the female vocal to Lacuna Coil). I describe in other forum what I'm into - Alternative, Alternative Metal, Electronic, Guitar Virtuoso, Goth.

I mostly listen to unsigned stuff here, so I'm not familiar with alot of the new published stuff out there, but is Evanescense considered Goth? My wife bought their album and they have a couple decent tunes. If you like Evanescence check out

I do know about Evanescence style and their songs.
I got a hold on to every song possible created from them.
I started to listen to Gretchen (Christian Goth - strange, but true) this past 2 weeks - 2 songs I listened to so far, but I also listen to H.I.M., Lacuna Coil, and Nightwish.
I'm not a goth fan exactly. It's really about the music and then lyrics after. I'm really into Alternative, so that has some reason why I am into goth. I take Alternative has a style of music that is different from the pop stuff, but I only like a few pop. I'm not a MTV drone or anything like that. I listen to what sounds good to me automatically. So should everyone else that listens to music.

See ya around

I didn't mention before, but Evanescence is coming out with another album.
And
I don't know if internet still gives out all their songs still (during and before their mainstream music - a few tracks on their mainstream album are the underground stuff).

EVANESCENCE MAKING A COMEBACK

EVANESCENCE rockers AMY LEE and TERRY BALSAMO are working on the finishing touches to their new album, after the guitarist took time out to recover from the stroke he suffered last November (05). Singer Lee confirmed Balsamo's recovery, saying he is "doing really well" and thanking fans for their patience while waiting for the still-untitled album. She says, "We'll be done mixing (the new album) next week! I can hardly believe it, we've been working on this album for so long. "The stuff sounds so good. ... Wow, what a trip this has been. "It's going to be hard to hold this music in all summer. I really want to thank you guys again for being so patient - I know it's gonna be worth it." Balsamo replaced original founder member and lead guitarist BEN MOODY after he quit in the band in the middle of a European tour in 2003.

I needed to check on of the few internet bookmarks I had of Evanescence.
There was not much there.
I just did a search on Evanescence news and came across to this.
I came across to the site, contactmusic.com, and copy-pasted it here.

I just downloaded some Evanescence music today. Haven't listened to it yet. I'm still waiting for their new album. I wonder if their sound changed.

Anyways, back to the original post: Christian music can be ok. I like gospel music, well some of it. I like because of the voices some of the singers in gospel have, they're amazing. I don't mind people preaching about their religion or other religions through their music. Somebands I ike do that. it sucks that race or a certain look is associated with certain genres of music. I'm black and I like all different types of music: Rap, Rock, Hip-Hop, Pop, Metal, Punk, Alternative, some Country, Soul, & many others. Some people in my family consider rock "white people music" which I don't like and I tend to correct them. I hate when people label music accoring to race.

That's a huge problem.
I know someone that is indian and he likes heavy metal.
He thought I got into it, because of him (i'm white) but I didn't.
I only like Amorphis, but some In Flames.
I'm just an alternative junky.

The signature sound of Christian is slightly alright, but the best is when they have their own thing going. For example, 12 Stones, Underoath, Anberlin, Flyleaf, Lifehouse, and Relient K. I don't know if you knew they were Christian. I mentioned the ones I know that are mainstream, but they seem to not reveal the Christian sound.

Let me just say I wanted to mention more of. Music is automatic to one's ear. True HipHop/Rap music has a crowd of basically the male gender, but they are women. Women also perform true Hip/Hop/Rap. I'm not a fan of it, but I know the difference in lyrics/sound from the real to the fake mainstream (not including old school - somewhat '97 and anything earlier).

What kind of tunes did Christ like? Probably that old style flute shizat. From my understanding he really likes corny old organ songs with old ladies on wavering vocals. I dig that groove.

It could've been something that was made and played way back at the time.
The drums could have been back that far. Flutes? wooden, i think. That's how much I think of right now. Any other possible things made from nature (wood, rock).
The style - mellow, dramatic, anything not big sound.
