that's a pretty big rig for a one-man band! especially if you're used to micing output from headphones (did I remember that correctly?)

Is that a Vetta?

Yeah dude thats right! All the S.E.A stuff thus far has been recorded the old jury-rigged way. Everything from now on will be through the Vetta II straight into a Midi interface, then into the PC. Bass will be recorded midi as well then drums will be pre-programmed by me but played live by Pete Botterill with his awesome double bass DW kit with trigger pads for the samples I use in the music.

He he. My neighbours and I have come to a pretty good understanding over volumes and stuff. One thing I had realised was just how LOUD this thing was. Its 300w total mono output (150w stereo) but I only really use the cab for live gigs.
As far as the one-man band thing goes, im not longer alone! Smile Stealth Engine Apex has changed its line-up for 2006.

Steve Dearnley - Vocals/Bass
Aaron Kilbon - Vocals/Guitars
Pete Botterill - Live Drums/Samples

Im really pleased with the first experiment recordings. The guitars sound so meaty and are just plain better quality than anything I have recorded thus far. Its a 7-string, so the dynamics have shifted to a real deep low-end but ive changed the sound of the Vetta to give a nice overhead of crunchy clarity.
It was a big step to go from 12.99 headphones and mini mic to the £2500 Vetta II set-up I have now and the big question is will it be 2500 times better? Lets hope so!

Wow, that is the size of a small shed. Bet it sounds awesome though! I don't have the cash to get a Vetta alas, but I'm with you on loving Line 6 gear. My current setup includes a Variax 700 and a Pod XT Live which seems to have a bottomless array of options (which i have yet to discover fully). How do you find the shortboard is to use? I was tempted to get a flextone with a shortboard but went for the pod instead and a decent amp is now next on the list. Oh, and you're not the only who names your guitars, my variax is known as Lorella Very Happy -Ed

I don't have much to list. It's a pretty mongrel setup, nothing fancy.

I play a Yamaho Pacific HSS guitar mostly
--> through a Rocktron Voodu Valve preamp.
--> through a BBE exciter (882)
--> used to just run that into a peavey bandit amp but recently got a Rocktron Velocity stereo power amp to run stereo to a couple of 2x12 cabs. I never had a stereo setup and hope to have fun messing around with it.

I did have a Mesa Boogie Fifty/Fifty tube amp to run it all through, but it's just too loud for what I want to do. Picked up the Velocity so I can play at home levels. The Mesa Boogie has a low power switch to run class A on 1 tube that I hoped would work, but it's still too loud for home. I'll save it for when I need the volume I guess.

Guitar/Bass:

Fender Telecaster
Rickenbacker 4003 Bass
Martin DX-1 Acoustic
OLP MM2 bass (POS, can't wait to smash it)
Yamaha FX500 Guitar Multi-FX (terrible)
Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer
Crate VC30 Tube Amp (broken now)

Now I need a new amp, thinking about a Fender Deluxe Reverb

Just incidentally, I remember when the old db1 guitarist Nick D got his second guitar ever when he was 17. He wanted to do the rock n roll thing and smash his old one on the tiled porch out the back of his house...only didnt have the strength to do it. Instead my current bass player/vocalist Steve D had to take over and give it a good swing!

Some awesome rigs listed thus far. But keep it coming! Show us the tools that go with your music.
