Thanks for your interest.
Let me tell you a little about things this end. SeiShin Records is a new company; in fact, it was just registered in the last few weeks. Therefore, we have no web presence, nor do we have many demos sent to us yet. SeiShin is run by Laurent Courtin, a French National, and the company is based in the Far East. Anyway, we are looking for tracks for the first compilation. Being the first project, you can imagine it will be rather small to begin with. This is no major deal of course. First run will be 1000 copies and will go from there. The market will be two pronged - Asia Pacific (particularly Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and HK) and Internet presence. Non-Exclusive Licensing Contract will be drawn up for each track, and other legalities will be figured out as we go along. As for royalties, it’s my understanding there will pretty much be a three way cut between retail, artist, company. At no time will there be costs for the artists, so don’t worry; its not one of those scams. It’s just a small company set up by producers for producers and Music lovers.
As a fellow producer, it’s been partly my responsibility to introduce some new artists to Laurent. At this early stage all I am asking is that you send MP3 (1-3 tracks) demos of your choice directly to Laurent for our consideration. We are leaning towards anything electro, from Chill to hard beats and would not want to put off someone sending something amazing.
Tracks must be copyright free and have a high level of production. Also, NO LINKS to hosting sites such as MP3.com , Dance Industries etc..Just the demo and a short bio if you wish..
If/when we plan to take it to the next stage, we will obviously contact you. if u have any general questions feel free to ask me, please don’t be too assertive with Laurent . We hope u can just send a mail and wait for us/him to contact you. Like I said though, please no links to forums or hosting sites at this stage.
