ATTN:
Hmm... I'm not sure what's going on in the "Share your lyrics and poetry" forum. For a while now, I've noticed that not many people are posting there- original threads or replies. I posted a bunch of lyrics, and then suddenly, all the posts by the dwindling number of people posting, stopped completely. I know I went a little crazy with posting, and I hope I didn't cause everyone to stop posting (not likely, but possible), but I stated beforehand that I was going to do that, so...

Anyway, I don't care much about replies to my posts. Though I love getting feedback, sharing my lyrics isn't about that; it's about letting others see my writings, and receiving good advice when it's needed. At the same time, I do highly enjoy reading lyrics and poetry by others, and also trying to reply to as many as I can.

If anyone reading this has some lyrics or poetry they can share, SHARE THEM. I mean, is there a down-time during some times of the year, when people post less of their creativity (-directed towards long time, UBW users)? Somebody has got to give that forum a jump-start, not just for me, but for all of us who want to read what others have created. Thanks much. Smile Later!

Hey RiCterMan ......I hear ya on the lack of posts, the same thing happens in the song trade forum sometimes. I don't think it has anything to do with all the lyrics you posted though, , , , who knows what it is, I'm sure before you know it there'll be a bunch of new stuff posted, at least I hope so. Sometimes I feel like I'm posting too much in the song trade review as well (I sure hope not) but I just want to direct people to certain songs so they can have a listen if they're so inclined. The feedback is always a bonus. . . . . . anyway, this a good thread and I wanted to respond............

Ricterman, I would post more on this thread, but lyrics are something that are very difficult for me to both get into, appreciate, or critique. I'm so much more into the music and groove, but it great lyrics go along with great music all the all the better.

Hey Ricterman, it's got nothing to do with you. You've been great in fact in giving some life to that thread. Honestly for me, I just haven't felt inspired 'lyrically' speaking lately and it's been to tough to add much there.

The traffic to the forums in general is very cyclical because of our size. It can get really busy for a few days, then seem dead for a few days. I think as we continue to grow, that will even out and we will get more activity in general.

Thanks big time for your posts and feedback all around the forums.

Ron

Thanks Erick. I appreciate the response! Very Happy

-And Smili... I fully understand what you mean. I'm pretty much passionate about both parts of music. I find it kind of easy to write song lyrics, so good lyrics have a strong appeal to me, and then I also get lost in the actual instrumental music. It's just like this immediate whirlpool of emotions when I hear a song that I really enjoy.

So, there's nothing wrong (as ya' likely already know) with just liking one or the other. Honestly, I think that without opinion, there'd be no interest in music at all, because if you think about it, interest can be pretty opinion based.

Man...; Sorry for the little tangent there. Smile Take care, you guys. Later!

I generally don't write lyrics. i dont have the eloquency to articulate my thoughts or feelings approriately. I generally write the music, and our singer writes the lyrics to fit with them.
i could see if i could post some of our song lyrics, if its ok with our singer though.
some of them are really ... interesting... (for lack of a better word).

Yeah man, ask. If it's cool with him, I'd like to read them. Maybe it'll spark ideas in other members, as well. I've been inspired on that forum a few times, or so.

For now, I'm going to go post my latest completed work. I've been trying to hold off, cause I pretty much already posted the shit out of that forum. But now, I just can't wait any longer. I must go, and type what I wrote, or I'm afraid I may burst in a massive, anxious explosion... Yeah..., disregard that. Later!
