been there.
that actually happens to me all the time. Then out of nowhere I'll write 2 or 3 songs almost instantly, then back to the blah's again.. |

I get most of my ideas in the early hours of the morning, or driving the car, usually times when i am not in a position to do anything about it.

oh yeah . . .it sounds quite familiar to me, I think it happens to everyone . . .sometimes I use the anger and take it out on my guitar . oui . . .sometimes I just put it away for a few days and curse at it while I walk by it . lol . . sometimes I'll just noodle around and it'll just come out. . . .who knows why ? don't worry man, it'll come back. . . try and listen to Miles Davis's "In a Silent Way" . . the way they just hang on one chord and take you on a journey, it gave me a whole new perspective on music. . .my 2 cents

I'm gonna have to ask you to trust me on this one. Every morning, when you wake up, write three pages of subconscious writing. Don't worry about it seeming profound, just write anything. You will be amazed at the outcome of your creativity. This technique has been used around the world, and there are many examples of success stories. Go out on a limb, and try something new. This really works!!!!!!!!!! |
