Hey all,
This might be a dumb question, but, one that just occured.....
when we upload our songs, do they become copyrighted material?

I would tend to think no, as I've never heard of that being the case before. I believe (and if anyone knows differently please chime in!) that you need to copyright your songs through ascap or a similar entity. I did add the copyright logo at the bottom as I feel it helps visitors know that the material belongs to each artist and NOT the unsigned band web.
Hope this helps!

I never let the boys post anything anywhere or even play in public anything that they have not filed for a copyright on. Just a lot safer that way. Better to be safe than sorry. |

All copyright is owned by artist/band who is presented on this page. Or something like that. |

i think that anybody who uses e. g. like Ron's block or your music you made and do share on the net MUST have the decency and the respect to mention copyrights, put a link to the homesite of the developer, artists and so on!
i think pers. when you use something on your website, in your code, whatever it might be and it was comming from somebody else's origin, you MUST have the decency to mention the origin/source of it!
i seen a lot of sites where ppl changed the copyright's of blocks/modules and such and it is fucken damned lame!
i pers. DO use stuff from other ppl they share and i might change some stuff then, like layout or such, but as with Ron's music block and as for the ppl who share their music for it, i keep the link to his site and make an entry in my credits section then!
it is not a big thing maybe, but any visitor on my sites will get to know what i did use and who made it! and if i forget to mention anybody in my credits section then contact me! ppl should pay respect to the work, efforts, time and energy they did put into stuff we can use! |
