I think that this creative flow is beginning to decrease. I don't mind that at all though. I was already thinking, if I write too much, I may forget how all of the songs are supposed to be sung. I'm still writing a good amount, but it's gone down to around three completed songs this week, when last week I wrote somewhere between 9-14.
Someday, as long as I can find band members, I do intend to get in a studio and do something with all of my wordings (and their music). If it happens, and the site is still running strong, I shall definitely share the audio here. Cheers!

All: For a while, before this past week, I was averaging around 15 to 20 songs a week (a 7 day week), for almost three weeks. Now, I've written 8 in the last week, now that it has ended. So, it's decreased, but I'm completely fine with that, because that number is still higher than all of the time previous to May 10th. For all that time, I think I was averaging around 4-6 songs in a month, to upwards of 15 some months, when the inspiration was more intense.
Bullet: It used to take a long time for me to come up with ideas, also. But during this whole "creativity spree", it's been almost annoying. Either I could sit down and think of an idea in a moment's notice, or something would just come to me while I'm busy. I can honestly say that I've had to disrupt sleep, or leave the dinner table when eating, to write out an idea, and it usually resulted in a completed song. Even though it was slightly irritating at times, I can't wait until it happens again, if it does.
All: I hope I don't sound conceited, because I'm definitely not claiming to be a prodigy, in any way, shape, or form. My whole idea behind this thread was for myself and everyone to share stories of past or current idea flows. If there's anyone who still can share, please do. I'd like to hear about it. Cheers, All!

Congrats on your song writing. But listen to this... If you ever feel the well has run dry, read a book called The Artist's way, This is the most inspirational book I have ever read. Take my word for it. |
