Sorry to be a pain in the ass. I've been trying to update my artist profile for a few days but it just won't budge.

For some reason it says it has updated but when I go to look at it is still the original one I posted when i joined.

Any ideas...

Maybe I had a labotomy in the last couple of weeks....

Can you tell me specifically what information you're trying to change....

Are you changing your bio, etc.. What pieces of info are you changing.

Also make sure after your change your info you use the "generate html" from the main menu, which applies the changes to your page. The info should actually "auto generate", but using the "generate html" will make it happen immediately...

Also, in the "modify artist" page itself, after you make your changes, make sure you use the "modify artist" button at the buttom of the page.

Upon successful completion, you should be taken to a page that tells you it was successful and "click here to refresh your view". Are you getting to this page?

Let me know!!! We want to get you up and running ASAP!!!!!!

Thanks,
Ron

I just went into your page and put in the word test to your bio. I selected modify artist and viewed your page and the word test is there.

I wonder if you could try a different browser. Are you using internet explorer, netscape, or firefox? Can you try an alternate?

Maybe a malicious website has modified your default browser settings and is causing the problem.

No-one else at this point has had any problems modifying their page.

Let me know, if needed we can reset your entire page to see if this will help.

Thanks,
Ron

Can you try netscape or firefox just to see if that's the problem. OR.... even easier.. Can you try to do it from ANOTHER computer?? If it works from someone else's PC, then the problem is with your browser, and you may need to "reset" the default settings...(or re-install the browser..)

There is NO word limit, you can make your bio VERY big if you like. Personally, I think the BIO should be short, and you should post more of your information as a "message". This keeps your page looking balanced...

In response to Alek's idea...

This is a good question that I have TOTALLY overlooked... I am assuming that all of these problems you are mentioning are coming from your artist site in the "PAGE MANAGER", and not your profile for Forums here. You are going to the page manager, inputting your name and password, and using "modify artist" from their, right???

Let me know what happens with different computer or different browser..

I'm ready to reset your entire page if necessary, but then you will have to start from scratch... Shocked

Hope this helps!! (i think trying from another persons computer will be the most helpful... Exclamation Exclamation )

I haven't got netscape but I have already tried to do this from work and from home.

I discovered that the problems seems to be related to copying and pasting.

For some reason if I paste in some text from word, without any formatting etc it just doesn't like it.

I've managed to modify my profile now though!

That's great news.. Thanks too for sharing the resolution. I'm sure this will creep up again sometime and now we know the answer!

Now off to listen to your songs!!!!!!
