hmmm it's not really my bag but....i'll try to hitcha wit sumthin' constructive-
the 'interlude' piece kinda reminds me of britney spears after a couple gallons of androsterone...real spare mix, not a lot goin' on (sounds like you meant it that way, which means 'success' right?)...pretty funky....sounds totally ready for a little soulful R&B background call-n-answer type thing, i.e. En Vogue or maybe Ms. Bootylicious- not sure if there's time to build to it though...khoul tone yer gettin' vocally, like the heavy-on-the-breathiness coupled with the reverb. real short (also prob'ly the point of it)...not really a hook anywhere but that's prob'ly not the point of an 'interlude'....the "oh" at about 0:34 is the high point of the performance for me.
would be good as a transition between more involved pieces- sounds like you're getting about what you aimed for- khoul. hope this was useful

The new mix is better, but this song is just empty for me. It lacks any real substance....I gotta say thumbs down man. Your tryin to be something your not, and its apparent....If you wanna make this music happen, you have to make people believe it. To do that there has to be something real there, real emotion, or soul, or spirit. Im just not feelin it. |
