[B]O.K HERE WE GO! FIRST OFF THIS IS EXCELLENT,T.V IS CRAP AND THE INTERNET HAS BECOME A BIT STALE THEN " BANG" EUREKA UBW.I DUSTED OFF MY GUITAR LOADED SOME RECORDING SOFTWARE AND RESURECTED SONGS THAT I'D WRITTEN .
I WAS NOT PUT OFF BY QUALITY OF ARTISTS THAT ARE HERE (ALTHOUGH I COULD OF BEEN) I WON'T NAME THEM HERE, BUT THERE IS A LARGE NUMBER OF TOP QUALITY ARTISTS AND MIND BLOWING LYRICS.

NOW! I STILL GET LOST IN THE LABARYNTH (FORUMS) AND LAST NIGHT I TRIED THE CHAT ROOM, WOW I FELT LIKE RAINMAN! BUT ALL WAS COOL AND SMITTEN,MITTINS MADE ME FEEL WELCOME..THANX .

CAN YOU HELP? CAN WE HAVE A BRIEF MOD'S INDUCED NEWBIE "WHERE AND HOW TO BEGIN PAGE".
EVERYTHING AS REGARDS SIGNUP AND UPLOAD IS STRAIGHT FORWARD BUT THE REVIEW SIDE (THE IMPORTANT BIT) DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE ANY STRUCTURE.

CAN WE HAVE A PAGE THAT SHOWS HOW AND WHEN TO REVIEW E.G CAN WE REVIEW ARTISTS OR SONGS THAT DO NOT REQUEST IT AND WHEN THEY DO REQUEST IT CAN WE ALL PUT SOMETHING IN. WHEN I LOOK AT THE FORUM IT LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE TO ASK MOD OR MICHEAL,UNPROJECT AND WHEN THEY ARE UNABLE TO RESPOND THE ARTIST GETS NO RESPONSE ATALL.
I WAS REALLY GRATEFUL BECAUSE MICHEAL AND BROOKSY RESPONDED STRAIGHTAWAY.

SIMPLE: 1-10 OR "I LIKED IT/DID'NT LIKE IT"

MORE INFO:TOP TUNE BUT NAFF LYRICS,POOR RECORDING.!POSS RE DOIT.

INDEPTH: ON ARRANGMENT,VOCALS,LYRICS,SONG AND OVERALL.

ALSO COMMENTS LIKE "THIS SONG WOULD BE GREAT FOR THE UNSIGNED GIG WHY NOT SIGNUP FOR IT" WOULD HELP PEEPS THAT THINK THEY ARE NOT WORTHY.

GENRE! IF WE SEND IT TO THE WRONG ONE CAN WE BE PROMPTED TO THE RIGHT ONE,IT'S STILL OUR CHOICE BUT TAKE ME I'M NEVER SHURE.

PAYPAL BLUES,NOT MY NEXT SONG! JUST WHAT HAPPEND. I TRIED TO PAY FROM DAY ONE BUT HAD SO MUCH TROUBLE I GAVE UP AND USED THE FREEBIE.I WILL TRY AGAIN ON PAY DAY.

THIS IS NOT A WHINGE AND I MAY BE SEEING IT ALL WRONG BEING NEW AND ALL.

Lol, dude...good points there.

Reviewing artists sometimes can be tough. I tend to only review when I feel I have somethin' to say about the song...otherwise its pointless, this doesn't mean I don't wanna reveiw, I listen to every song up...no wonder I'm goin deaf Laughing

If you look at the tool bar you'll see a forum FAQ. Normally that answers most questions up there, of course there are niggles need answering that's why we're here.

As for the ratings..Hmm...Personally I think that handing out marks has faults. I've been to sites that do that and if y' get some w****r that don't like y' you'll be marked badly, but on your artist page you got a rate it link, so you'll get rated there. If y' go into RATINGS underneath the main header you'll see how it affects the outcome.

Maybe having a review Fault Finder might be useful...as in I worked hard on this track but something's wrong, can u help ...kinda thing.

We have the lyric reviews, and Unproject, Michael and U4eA work darn hard on the music , but maybe there could be a general Genre field review. 2 Electronica and one acoustic artists reviewing everyone is a little hard on 'em.
The problem is, like I mentioned earlier, unless peeps actually have something to say about a track, they won't, on a rare occasion, review. Which is fair, I think.

But def. good points...as for paypal? IT HATES ME Laughing

Anyhow, it's good to have y' here, and if you get stuck, or need help, ask as often as you want. If u feel that it doesn't belong on the boards and it's a personal thing use the messenger.

Let me add to Brooksy's great points.

The review thread is an OPEN FORUM where ANYONE can post a request and ANYONE can fill it. There are some members who will do more 'in-depth' reviews as mentioned above, but the review thread belongs to everyone. BANDS need feedback on their music, and who best to get it from then other musicians and music lovers? Some reviews may be short aka... great vocals, nice guitarwork, couldn't hear the drums. AND some reviews will be more in-depth. Everyone can review at their own skill level. AS AN ARTIST myself I can assure you that 99% of artists appreciate ANY feedback they can get.

To get reviewed in the review thread, simply post your request ALONG with the genre... Example..

Please review "THIS SONG" - Rock

That's all you need to do. In addition, you can ALSO request individual reviews from michael, unproject (electronica), u4ea (electronica), Brooksy (lyrics) ...

It's great to have you at the Unsigned Band Web and your feedback has been very thought provoking!!!! Thanks!

As for paypal...I'm not sure why you've had problems. I have had a couple of other members mention they couldn't get through. However, everytime I test it, it's working fine, and we have had many premium members sign up with no problem. I'm really not sure of the source of the problem. Let me know if you continue to have issues and we'll provide an alternate method to become a premium member.
