Folk and Electronica???
It may sound a little strange, but I can hear it in my head and it sounds good!
The song is feeling down. My current recording isn't that great, but you can get the feel for it here:

I would love to turn this into something electronic with some cool keyboards in the background to give it the melancholy feel, but then some upbeat synth and beats to really throw you on your head. I would probably re-record the vocals with one of those mild distortion filters...
