I voted no. Andrea seems to have this knack of knowing when to leave me alone when things get serious.
And the same applies to Andy when she's engrossed in a book, I feel it's best to disappear for a while. It's all about respect for each other I guess. Space and respect is everything and if ya don't get it, you must insist upon it and return it.

I voted no.
My Sarah knows that music, bar the kids and her, is the most important thing in my measley little life, she knows how long I've been battling to get somewhere, anywhere.
I get 100% support even if it means disappearing into another room for endless hours.
Sometimes it's a 4am job before I crawl into bed. But hell, since she says "If you can't balance work and music...give up work", I gotta respect that she respects what I'm trying to do...so weekends I leave music alone...a struggle....a...really...hard...struggle....withdrawals...setting..in.....need...music...neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed |

seems that certain kinds of people get into competitive mode when it comes to something your passionate about. I've yet to have a girlfriend who at somepoint doesn't get pissed off that so much of my time and energy goes into something that's not her!. 'Course in the band everyone gets something out of it or we wouldn't be there but I do feel sorry for the partners. Wonder if there are any support groups out there. Like a - "My boyfriend won't stop fiddling with his organ" club. "Hello my name is Bubba and I'm addicted to music. I spend evey moment thinking about it, max credit cards on pedals and gear I only use for a week before something else gets my attention. It's been 16 hours since my last rehearsal. yada yada blah blah etc etc...."
I'm going to stop writing now as the hangover is messing up my eye sight. I swear I'll never drink again! |

I have to say my wife doesn't understand why I enjoy composing music as much as I do partly because she has very little appreciation for music, it's just background sounds to her. She has seen many of the kudos I've had for my work and accepts that I enjoy doing it and others enjoy listening to it so she leaves me alone to write most of the time. |

yeah - you're right - some months just harder than others I guess....Such is life. Doesn't help that I am the uncompromising prince of darkness. Or at least a distant relative. |
