Hey All,
My name is Chris, better known as DjSentinel313. I am very involved with the unsigned music community in my area and have been for a long time now.
I am launching a new radio show on 1Radio.org in order to expose artists music to new areas around the world. The show is called Hoosier Unsigned and will air weekly as a way of giving back to the unsigned community. I am not charging anything for bands to be featured on the show, it is all NON PROFIT and your band would get a good amount of airplay on the show.
Q.) Why am I doing this?
A.) Many have asked me this question and have accused me of being another "thief" of the unsigned community. I can ASSURE you that this is NOT the case. I just have a TRUE passion for unsigned bands, I feel that you all need as much exposure if not MORE exposure then the signed bands so that you have a better shot at the "big stage".
Q.) What's the catch?
A.) Honestly, there is no catch, unless you feel that sending your fans to listen to the show so that they can catch your songs playing on air a catch... I consider it only fair, I give airplay and exposure, the band gives info to their fans saying that they are going to be featured on a radio show... (I don't see any bad part in that  )
Q.) How do we get info and content to the show?
A.) This is actually pretty easy, the only 2 requirements I have is that your band HAS to have ORIGINAL music, it can be Rock, Alternative, Pop-Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop (CLEAN), R&B etc. The second requirement is more of a recommendation then anything, I would like the band manager, or frontman to contact me via Skype or MSN or even leave a Voice Mail with a number and time to contact you on my studio line. I want to make sure the bands/artists know that I am being honest and have them get to know the show and myself a bit.
Q.) What's in it for you?
A.) Simple, I am trying to progress my career and get in to FM/AM radio. I already do Voice Over work privately, but I want to get into the industry and need some demos to get out to the stations. The demos would have about a 5 second clip of some of the music from the show NO MORE. This way the bands/artists music STAYS with them. It would not be fair to you all for me to include the full tracks, and honestly would be outright wrong.
