Another great one bud,
this has motion picture soundtrack written all over it.....
I have one question: who is that speaking in the beginning??
it almost sounds like one of my cousins speeches he gives out in Boulder,Co. for the study of Human Awareness and Alternative Healing..... |

nice work! there's a lot going on in the track without it sounding like it's too busy, which i think is often a fatal flaw of many electronic musicians. i like the pad you're using on this track, and dig the subtle complexity of the rhythm track.
one thing i noticed is that you tend to teeter, as i call it; or it can probably best be explained as anchoring yourself on two chords and bouncing back and forth between them. this provides a solid foundation whilst creating an atmosphere, but can also leave the track sounding simple, regardless of the dozens of tracks one throws into the mix. in its entirety, it's a pretty complex piece, but since you're really only hinging on two root notes, it comes across a lot more simple to me than it really is. i don't want to sound like this is really a bad thing, because it can obviously be either - or, depending on how it all works out in the end. i think it works here, but you could have also just as easily gone another way at some point and ended up with a good track.
overall, really enjoyed the track and the mix sounded really good on my monitors. thanks for sharing! |

Ha! That's funny, I'm originally from CO myself, near boulder (Longmont). The voice is an excerpt from an interview with a guy who claims to be a UFO contactee (Alex Collier). Aside from speaking the most far-fetched, insane shit I've ever heard, he also says some of the most insightful things I've ever heard, and speaks with such conviction that I decided to put him in my work. Thanks for checking out the track man! |

Hey thanks a lot man, that is a very well put together review. I really appreciate you taking the time to critique my track. It took some time to arrange and mix. |

you're most welcome for the review. i figure if someone is going to put a lot of time and effort into creating a track, i can take some time for a thoughtful review. of course if i were reviewing a track from Gunner, i'd just spend a second on it and ask him if he learned to play guitar from a book he got it a box of crackerjacks?!?!?!?! joking, gunner!
the coincidences with the whole CO are kind of spooky. are you sure that you two didn't plan it and the whole speech buried within the track are really subliminal signals to get us to follow some UFO cult? i most definitely hope so!!! |

Whoa man, that IS weird. My sisters and I happen to agree with your cousin. Maybe it's the water. This contactee guy was talkin' all this self healing stuff as well. May be your cousin's on to something. Side note- my mom is from Roswell, NM. Spooky. |

I like this track, it keeps its menace throughout but has the occasional piece of quite delicate melody added in, it's an interesting style.
Keep it up!
