Some thoughts on music chat - as a starter am wanting to set up test chat to focus on alt/rock/indie oriented genre's for now to see how it goes.

- thinking a pre-designed forum thread should be setup prior to the chat to feature song information for the music to be listened to and commented on
- Forum information would include Artist name, Artist page link, hifi and lofi links for each song to be discussed. we've tested posting links in the chat and they get pretty messy pretty quickly so forum seems like it may be best option to catalog song info
- prefer the artists to be featured participate in the chat also, but this isn't necessary - probably preferred though
- due to differences in time zones multiple times could be set - but obviously more times the more diluted the chat becomes. this could be both + or - depending on # of participants.
- initially would want to set one or two times to discuss the tunes as a test, but this is flexible. mainily interested in the test currently. UK time zone is 6 hours ahead of Central time in US. Not sure about others, but does present issues about"best" times to schedule these..
- checking on whether chat comments can be archived
- initially would prefer to try an ordered song list initially, but certainly would be open to other song additions as needed - just not too chaotic initially to see how this works
- Other thoughts?
- Really am interesting in setting up something for a test so will add some other thoughts.

sorry, my beer goggles are a little foggie with that hifi, lofi link stuff. But I'll be there at 2pm cst (1PM MY TIME) lets git 'er done!
