Sodoms Child is a Metal-Industrial-EBM band formed in late 1999 by Derek van der Hagen.
His musical identity ranges from the eclectic touch of the electronic dark music to the strength of heavy rock
The bands name emerged from the similarities he saw between the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and the present world. Only the perspective for evaluating global behavior today has changed since then, they think.
The name is also based on the antagonism; between the personalities of the two ancestral cities and that of the children who once lived in them and represented the only glimpse of innocence in those places. In a way, this name also resembles the Chinese principles of Yin and Yang (coexistence of good and evil).
The music of Sodoms Child represents difference, its the very last musical halo of a void time, which lacks originality and massively repeats itself.
