fREAK-1-C
fREAK-1-C Bio:

fREAK-1-C are a 6-piece original band based in West London. Consisting of a standard line-up of two vocals, two guitars, bass and drums, the band believe in melodic vocals, funky bass lines, soaring guitar solos and loads of onstage energy.

The band, consisting of Ian Husbands - Lead Vocals; Stephanie Lamoureux - Backing Vocals; Tim "Caesar" O'Sullivan - Lead Guitars; Paul Holland - Rhythm Guitar; Ian Mauricio - Bass and Hayden Doyle - Drums, all met at a local Jam Night in West Drayton and eventually got together to form fREAK-1-C as it now is.

They have been well received by the industry so far and are currently playing live gigs over the country including VW Festivals "Big Bang" and "Bug Jam" at Santa Pod Raceway, where they have previously supported acts such as The Dum Dums and the legendary Chas 'n'Dave, and VW Action at Herts County Showground. You can see the band featured on the 2002 "Bug Jam 16" video, when they played a 3 hour acoustic set on the main stage. You can watch fREAK-1-C at their regular, weekly Jam night, every Thursday at The Fox & Pheasant in West Drayton or one the many festival or showcase dates throughout the year. With a large internet presence, fREAK-1-C can be found listed on many unsigned band websites, or advertising on many music message boards and forums. Liveclub.co.uk and UnsignedCentral.co.uk are just two of the sites that have included fREAK-1-C in their monthly 'Feature Bands' section and the band have received a positive response to their no-pay-to-play online petition from many supportive fans and musicians.

Internet radio station www.thesunmachine.net which was featured on Channel 4's Web Review programme and mentioned fREAK-1-C as one of their featured artists, join a whole host of other internet, regional and European radio stations, including Blast AM, Care Radio, Kooba Radio, Madd Radio, Generation Rock Radio and many more, that have played tracks from fREAK-1-C's CD demo. Delta FM Radio in Alton and County Sound Radio MW1566 in Guildford have already featured the band live on air with live acoustic slots and Radio Six International listeners have voted fREAK-1-C song 'Find A Way' number 19 in their top 20 for song of the year 2003.

"This band really know's how to rock a party, and I should know, I've been to a few!"
- Brian Burrows, VW Action, ex-Spider Bassist

"Rocky melodic funk with an R&B twist, highly recommendable" - Stuart Waterman, Redback Tavern

"For a gig so late in the day, with crowds thinning, the six-piece crank out music with such conviction that those remaining in the hall abandon the carpet, stagger to their feet and merrily pogo into one another." - Making Music Magazine

Ian's rough-edged, yet melodic vocals, which have been compared to the likes of Pearl Jam and Creed, are well complimented by the smooth backing from Steph. Funky bass lines and grunge like drum grooves combine to make a colourful background for Tim's ballsy guitar lines, creating fREAK-1-C's unique sound. It is evident that the whole band feed off a vast range of different influences that combine neatly to create what is fREAK-1-C.

With plans to start recording their debut independent album, "Swimming With The Big Fish" for release in late Summer 2004, fREAK-1-C are now concentrating on writing and rehearsing, and are looking for anyone who may be able to help them release their album to the highest standard possible. The band would like to hear from management, publishers, record companies, distributors, radio DJs/Pluggers, press or anyone else who feels that they may be able to assist them.
