Since forming in 2002, Erik has endured line-up changes and unwanted breaks to finally settle on its current 3-piece formula of Stevie Fortune, Jack Flash, and Mat Robinson. Songwriter Stevie Fortune's screaming vocals and brutal guitar riffs make for a dirty grunge sound that is often compared to bands of the 1990's such as Nirvana and silverchair. Coupled with a hardcore punk edge, this creates a unique grunge/punk genre which draws audience attention, resulting in the band forming a respectable local following. Backed by the stick breaking, skin splitting speed of Jack Flash and the pounding rhythms of the talented Mat Robinson on bass, this bands power and raw energy is translated by fast, aggressive live shows.
Three guys. One band. Erik.
