In 1859 her publication of the key components of nursing was provided before the official establishment of the National Red Cross in 1864. In the early 1900s, there were major events in the standing of the publication of the American Journal of Nursing and the enactment of nursing practice acts. In 1950, the American Nursing Association adopted the code of ethics. In 1953, the National Student’s Nurses’ Association was established to serve in the capacity of mentoring the professional development of nurses to yield a defined module through which the registered nurses undergo.
