Blame it on Cain
Blame it on Cain Bio:

Blame It On Cain formed in the outskirts of Milwaukee in January 2007. The all-original quartet's straight-forward hard rock and pop songs have been compared to acts like Stone Temple Pilots and The Smithereens. The band cut its 'live' musical teeth playing opening slots for local bands, but really caught attention during an acoustic gig with Brian Vander Ark of the Verve Pipe, in summer 2007. Cain even sat in on a couple of songs with the multi-platinum selling artist.

The fans desire for a full-length album became apparent after Cain released a handful of promotional singles to various internet music sites in 2007. The band scored a Top 5 hit on Broadjam (www.broadjam.com) and a Top 20 hit on the Australian mp3.com (www.mp3.com.au). The singles also caught the attention of several internet radio stations, like the award-winning FatCatRadio (www.fatcatradio.com). Cain has also made numerous appearances and has been a featured artist on local rock radio station, 97.3 'The Brew'.

On April 12, 2008 - the band released the 10-song CD, "Rhythm Schism". The album is a collection of tunes the band has played in local venues to Cain's ever-growing fan base, dubbed 'Cainiacs'. The initial shipment of the CD SOLD OUT at the internet store CD Baby!

In August 2008, one of their songs was released on 'Double Talkin' Jive' - a collection of Guns 'n Roses cover songs & originals by unsigned acts like BIOC. The Versailles Records release is available nationally.

Blame It On Cain is made up of veterans of the local and regional music scene: Sam Boettcher (vocals), Steve Draganchuk (guitar), Jim Lorino (bass) and Al Sumner (drums), who are looking to spread the songs of the band to an audience across the globe. .

What does BIOC have in common with the titles in the headline??? We are officially announcing our 4th version of the band. Our beloved bassist Greg has decided it was time to move on. As most of you know, he has his other band Fadeback which he will be focusing on and working with them on writing their new CD. Greg has been a great asset to the band and really helped to contribute to the development of the "Cain" sound. We wish him the best and can't wait to hear more great Fadeback tunes in the future. Luckily enough for us, Al dug through his emails from years gone by and found a guy who he'd once spoke with about playing bass in a polka cover band. I have no idea why that band never came to fruition, actually I have a pretty good idea. Anyway, turns out the guy was still looking for that "right" project to jump in to, and low and behold, it was us. So we are please to announce that Jim Lorino has joined the Cain family to take the bass. Turns out he's pretty much a badass. He hates sunsets and walks on the beach. He swerves into wildlife on the freeway rather than away from it. He doesn't bite the heads off of chickens, he just looks at them and they drop dead. Very cool stuff. Just the kind of edge this band needed. Seriously though, Jim is cramming hard to be ready for our show at Club Garibaldi's on Saturday December 20th. It's gonna be a great show. Please don't miss it! Revolush is playing as well, and they are a stellar band! We're still working on getting a 3rd band for the show, we should have that soon. We can also announce that we've booked our first show for 2009!!!! We will be invading Illinois again, but this time we're going to Rockford! Home of the greatest radio station in the world and proud supporter of BIOC, FatCat Radio! We will be playing CJ's Pub in Rockford on Saturday January 24th, 2009. So mark the calenders for that one. Hopefully the royal family of FatCat Radio can make an appearance, otherwise we might send the new bassist over to toilet paper their house. Again, should be another great show. Well that's about it for now. Gotta get back to cracking the whip on the new guy and get him into shape. He loves pain. Like I said, he's a badass. BTW, Can you name all of the movies who's title is listed in subject line???
