TesseracT
TesseracT Bio:

Very few bands that claim to be different actually are. TesseracT however is a very different band; very different indeed.

“The best british metal band you’ve never heard”
Tuned Magazine – July 07 – http://www.tunedmagazine.co.uk

TesseracT - A mixture of vast hypnotic tense melody, dark eerie ambient spaces, and hard brutal grooves, encapsulating both the sublimely simple and the blisteringly confusing. Bringing together the sounds of modern metal and rock, whilst opening its doors to a whole new realm, TesseracT expands upon the traditions set out by art and psychedelic rockers such as Pink Floyd and The Doors, and artists whose influence it reached today like Tool, through to modern day metal experimentalists Meshuggah.

“The day I heard TesseracT for the first time I dreamed of Tool hooking up with Meshuggah, while Jeff Buckley and Mike Patton fought it out in front of the studio door about who would take care of the vocals”
Stef Broks – Renowned Drummer from the Dutch band Textures

TesseracT began life in 2003 in a bedroom in Milton Keynes, England. Initially a solo instrumental project written, recorded and produced by Acle Kahney; the aim was to convey different moods and atmospheres using unique and unusual methods. Today it has grown to include 6 mebers:

Acle Kahney and James Monteith - Guitars,
Mos – Bass,
Jay Postones – drums,
Abisola Obasanya and Julien Periere – Vocals.

"Nice tone!!! All the demos you've uploaded on the Toontrack forum are amazing!!!"
Fredrik Thordendal – Meshuggah

By capturing tense melodic ambience with a combination of hypnotic grooves and rhythms, TesseracT engages and transports both the performers and listeners beyond the normal scope of modern metal and rock. The music exists to hypnotise its creators, and enchant its listeners. There is no spin, no agenda, no fashion ethos, and no angel, only the music. Experimental in its creation, form and presentation.

"So I'm really impressed...I'm in the studio now....so I just played it to Andy (producer man)....and we both agree that it is very hi-quality writing and production...nice one!"
Martin Grech – Artist - Universal music

The band will be releasing a single in December and will be touring in support of this. They will also be recording the debut album early next year, with which they hope to explore the possibilities of production and form in order to create something truly amazing. It is clear that people excited by and enjoy listening to TesseracT’s sound almost as much as they enjoy creating it.

Visitors to the TesseracT websites:

"Sounded like a f*****g A-bomb....you turned it into armageddon, this is just super. The hair’s stood up in the back of my neck. I would buy a CD for that track alone, no s**t. Vocals are EXCELLENT. Production is EXCELLENT"

"This is like, the music of the future or something . Meshuggah, taken to the next level."

“Every single song I have heard from TesseracT is outstanding”

July Updates - videos, magazines and the dutch!!! posted: 19 Jul 2007 12:58 PM
Wooo a busy month for TesseracT! Finished writing another song which leaves part 5 of Concealing Fate to be finished, one of the new songs to be finished and we may create one more song with some of the riffs that are left over. All in all I think the album is going to sound quite varied, in a good way! We're planning to do some warm up shows later in the year before we start to think about recording the drums/final takes. Get really confident and solid with the songs. We also jammed with Stef Broks, drummer of Textures last weekend which went really well. The focus was mainly on getting used to the songs and coming up with some groove/fill ideas which really adds so much to the music. We're still discussing how we can have both drummers involved on the album. One idea at the moment is to have Stef play Concealing Fate, and Jay play the remaining 4-5 songs. Having said all this, Jay is the TesseracT Drummer :) We've put some video clips together of the jam. The sound quality is pretty dire but you get the idea! There are a few new riffs on the video as well! Videos of these sessions can be found on the website - http://www.tesseractband.co.uk We've also replaced the original Concealing Fate with how Concealing Fate Part 5 is sounding now...minus the outro which still needs to be written! And finally for all of you, who reside in the UK , make sure you all go and pick up a copy of Tuned magazine! TesseracT has a feature in this month's issue. You can find it at HMV, Virgin, Borders, Fopp or www.tunedmagazine.co.uk
