At this very moment, I am listening to one of my current favorites, a musician by the name of Ruben Gomez. Ruben's actually been performing for more than 20 years, but recently decided he wanted to break into the US mainstream market. He's putting together what promises to be a really great album. His strengths are strong vocals and a cheeky attitude. My personal favorites of his are Arizona and Middle of Nothing. I have a TuneWidget on my myspace page if you want to check him out. Another one that I am really liking is Raymond Acevedo. His is just a sensual, yet trippy experience...there is no other word for it. He is alternative in the true sense of the word with melodic tones and amazing lyrics. The best place to hear Raymond is on his myspace pages, user names:www.myspace.com/officialraymondacevedo or mundartist. He sings in both Spanish and English. My personal favorite is Aveces; En Cadenas is pretty amazing as well.  |

WOW! I was just informed that Ruben Gomez is ranked #41 out of 5557 artists in his genre on ReverbNation.com...he is outranking several major artists...and yet remains unsigned. I really don't get the music industry.

Hey everyone! It's become my mission in life (at least for the next 36 hours) to get over 1000 hits for Ruben G. by end of day tomorrow. I enjoying some "Dub Step" tracks by Caspa & Rusko" don't like it all but the feel can be so laid back. Anyone else doing Dub Step work on this site pls.? |
