It runs in the family! Carlos Santana's son, Salvador Santana, has mixed his own Latin melodies and rhythms with Hip-Hop beats. I was able to listen to some tracks while at my internship at umgd and was pleasantly surprised. With all the hybrid-genre groups out there, the Salvador Santana Band is one to pay attention to. Salvador Santana is going on TOUR!!! He finally is going on tour, and sharing some of his new tracks from his new album. Your gonna love his reggaeton and rock sound that he's famous for. i think i would regret the experience. nothing nearly as sophisticated as what his father did. even if you take him out of that shadow, his foundation is pretty shaky at best. it's like how bob dylan's son, jakob (i think), did his wallflowers thing. everyone thought it had to be good because it was bob's son, right? wrong, it sucked. must be nice to have that easy of a run at getting a record deal. it's like they inherited one. no, not at all impressed...regardless of who he's related to. |

Well,,,,,he is doing his thang.
However, I agree, is it worthy of a record deal and tours???....I say no.
I was really hoping some of that Carlos Santana mojo would have been carried on to his son.....but i guess it didnt happen....so, sorry funmusicguy you will have to be excited all by yourself!! |

I dunno why you guys wanna compare him to his dad...He plays the keyboard, and if you like reggaeton this guy can spit some good lines, this is just me tho, your entitled to your own opinion.
