A little while ago I bought an empty cable drum and I also bought a multicable. The aim is to create a stage box for a few XLR cables, a few 6mm jacks. This way I can have the instruments, mics etc plugged in the stagebox on stage and then the cable running towards the sounddesk and connected to the mixer.
However I don't have a clue as to how to roll up the cable in the drum so that when I roll out the cable the other end won't clash against the sides or gets stuck.
Also there is a handle that comes with it but it doesn't stick to where it's supposed to go, so it can't be used to spin the wheel.
There is also a loose small metal ball that I have no clue what it's supposed to be used for.

Is there any technician who can tell me how to mount the handle and tell me what's the best way to insert the cable so that I can use this thing properly?

i'm not sure how to answer several of your questions, but if the handle doesn't fit as it should as described in the directions, you may want to return it for another one. did you buy it new or used? if you bought it new, i would ask the vendor how to solve the problem, or contact the manufacturer. that's what i do when i have a problem. best of luck to you! |
