Hey there,
I listened to "A lonely monster" and "Sleepy" from the website.
this isn't my favorite genre of music - I do like some of Metallica's stuff, especially like the album they did with San Fran symphony - but in general not my favorite type of music... I tend to like more melodic stuff...
"A lonely monster" comments - the drums need to be worked on. One of the things I like about the harder music is how the drums will kick you in the throat - but I don't get much of a groove out of the drums in this song. I hear more hat than anything I think. I don't know if there's too much "thick" in the mix for them to punch through - (are the drums programmed?). The song does sound very thick though. more breathing room at various points in the song (less thick) will make the thick parts sound bigger in comparison. I had difficulty hearing the vocals, but that's often part of the way some of this style of music is designed.
"Sleepy" comments - I like this song better than the prior. same comments on the drums. I do like the intro in particular here, and the riff worked for me.

yes i have to agree w/ smili, the guitar sounds good but the drums have no punch. also the drummer got off time a few times. i might be a little biased about the drums as thats what i play. the song writing is good and the vocals have kind of an 80's rock vibe to them which i like. i think over all your songs are good and they will sound even better with a properly recorded drum track. keep it up |
