Hello -I would like to take this opportunity to promote my band, Dark Dreams. We are a two man studio only melodic Metal band, playing a traditional style of British Metal inspired by the famous bands of that genre.
The music is more accessible to listeners than contemporary Metal, as the vocals are sung rather than screamed, and melodic guitar sections replace discordant breakdowns.
Although the music is produced at home, the overall production isn't as bad as might first be suspected. In fact, it gives Dark Dreams a unique sound.
If anyone would care to listen to our music and let us know by posting on this thread, they can be sure that I will do the same for them in return.
Thanks -Peter Quinn |

Sounds sweet. A very good production for a home recording as well.
You guys sound like you've been playing together for a while.
And some of it reminded me a bit of Sentenced, an Italian band(I think).
I can also definitely hear the Iron Maiden influence too.
The songs are very well thought out and seem to flow along nicely, with some nice melodies and strong riffs.
Keep it up, I'll be keeping an eye on you guys. |

Hah!, I knew I recognised you guys from somewhere. I just found A Winter's Tale,
The Tempest and Oceans Of Time in my mp3s dir.
And Oceans Of Time came up on my Ipod just the other day too.
Now I'm annoyed I didn't recognise the band earlier... |

Hi- sorry for the delay. I couldn't log into my listener account until today, due to some problem with the PC I was using. Unfortunately this laptop I'm using now has no soundcard, so I'll have to get back to you once I've had a listen through your tunes. Many thanks for your support -Pete.
PS -I've recently uploaded a new version of This Night with much improved vocals. |

Might be a while... last couple of weeks we've been missing our singer at practices... and we're up to the point where we need his input before we can round off the newest track.
I'll let you know by PM when we get it done though. |
