whats up everyone my name is moses and im from CA. hope to be on this site often hopefully i can learn some stuff... i play the drums not great, but im still learning.... i have a question. my friend has a band and i want people to hear his music, but im unsure were to post it.. i posted it in the promo section, but all i want is some feedback on what people think. i dont have sound clips. all i got is vid clips of them in a small cafe... |

your best bet is to get some sound clips from them, if they've got 'em. then post a link to it in the 'songs review' section. that's where you'll get the most exposure. i left a comment on your other thread, too. you don't necessarily have to have a profile here to ask for reviews in the 'song reviews' forum, but it's definitely a good gesture and more consistent to forum rules. but sound clips are the real key. you could also so so using the vids you have, but i'm sure the sound quality is less than stellar, which doesn't usually work in your favor. that's why i definitely suggest getting some songs up somewhere to which you have a link. we're not going anywhere, so it's not like you need to be in a big hurry or anything. all in good time. good luck and welcome to unsigned band web!  |

yeah, welcome dude... hope you can get some tunes up for them....
just to kind of echo what gorgatron was saying, i personally would think it a good idea for them to get a profile here... i know i frequently 'skim' over any requests for song reviews that are hosted on other sites... i catch the odd few but not as many as i check out with and UBW link... this doesn't necessarily mean everyone on this site is like me though!!!  just putting it out there...

howdy and welcome
adding to FaceFitz and gorgatron, upload your vid clips or just post a link to them in whateva genre the music fits. Get active in the forums. Listen to others and post a comment, they in turn will do the same.
If the sound quality isnt good, work on it. People get turned off in the first few seconds if it sounds like shit recording.
You might want to get a decent sound recording then upload it here, then do some networking round the forums (without spamming lol) just to get some feed back.
