Familiar as in the structure of the song.......not implying you have stolen anything....lol
just the way the song was layed out.....in other words...who is your biggest influence?? |

Bay City Rollers nah...all kidding aside...I'd have to say my biggest influence was early Vai and Satriani...now...not sure...there are so many awesome slingers out there...you included! MAB, Theodore Ziras, Ingwe...and on and on...so hard to come off as original nowadays with all the music that's out there! So...I'm trying to blend a bit of electronic with rock/metal as I'm just a solo artist!
It's good to see guitar is coming back into the mainsteam again!

Hey man,
thanks for the compliment...its appreciated.
yes i too am glad to hear guitar making a comeback....
I listened to your track again...and I do catch the early Satriani influence and I think this is where the reference "Sounds Familiar" came from.....
I too am very guilty of laying down a track and then go back and listen and damn.....it sounds too much like Petrucci and Vai etc......and with all the guitarists emerging out of the woodwork these days, it is becoming harder to get an original sound..there are only so many chords right???...lol
keep rockin man...lookin foreward to hearing some more tracks from ya!! |

Cool Track!
I'm getting a very Liquid Tension Experiment feel from it.
I can't fault it in any way at all.
Awesome. |

Yeah he is - but I saw him drop a stick when he played with Petrucci at G3 in Sydney last year.
... admittedly he did throw it 20ft into the air in the middle of a drum solo, but he still dropped it! |
