Am I beleiving this. Great site but no help. Are you all keeping it to yourselves or am I not good enough.
Now compelations or Collaborations let's get it on.
I know it's traditional for musicians to keep themselves to themselves but alot of us are missing the boat. On our ownsome we may be good or o.k. in our little world but I think (with what I've heard) that if some of you got 2gether it could be"the bg-time".
Know what I mean dolly? |

i don't think most of us know what the hell we're doing, to be honest. i would start promoting yourself to small, independent labels that put out comps. to whom do you listen? also, there are sites out there similar to UBW that put together comps. PM me and i can tell you of at least one site like this one that does, or at least did it back when i was around there more. but yeah, i think small labels are the way to go.
have you also searched on the net and the boards at other sites. you might come across people looking for artists to put on a comp. i think you just have to do a lot of searching. those of us who don't really do much in the way of electronic music aren't really looking to get on comps because it's not as big of a thing in our genre. can't think of too many acoustic comps out there and my electronic stuff is nowhere near good enough.
but keep searching. the stuffs out there. i've only come across it maybe 2-3 times in the 3+ years i've been putting us out on the net. good luck! |
