Thanks for the feedback
The timeframe is last 200 plays, so that could vary depending in your popularity
Not sure I understand your last question, but play 201 drops off the map when your next song get's played, so it's always the 'latest' 200 plays. At this point, the only options for premium accounts is 200, although I could add in the ability to make this configurable in the future. |

Do you mean play #1 falls off the map with play #201, and play #2 comes off with #202, etc?
That's excellent. |

Yes, that is better stated! The 'oldest' 201th play leaves the map with each new song play. |

Next question: Do you offer paid promotion services? Can I buy an ad for my music? |

Lazlow,
Currently we promote all of our artists across the internet through syndicated radio stations and a 'featured artist' script. The featured artist script is premium member based, so it's a feature of having a premium account.
Beyond those two tools, we offer genre sponsorships (not just to bands) that will put a link to your (presumably artist page) at the bottom of the genre of your choice (song charts, and new songs pages), for a month for $10.00.
Mittens...
Thanks!! |

Another great feature is the site's world map which shows what songs are getting played and where at any given time.
I get a charge of discovering that someone in, say, Moscow is listening to the same artist at the same moment as I am. For some reason, that really makes me trip.

I just noticed that if you zoom in on Rachel, Nevada (Area 51, the Extraterrestrial Highway, etc) you get a graphic of Colonel Sanders.
Hmmmm.... |

It turns out to be a publicity stunt perpetrated by KFC.
From their website:
"It took a team of nearly 50 designers, engineers, architects and other professionals working nearly three months to conceive, create and execute building the world's largest logo. The logo consists of 65,000, one-foot by one-foot painted tile pieces that were assembled like a humongous jigsaw puzzle. It took six days on site to construct the logo, during which time the logo design pieces were kept hidden from airplanes flying overhead. " |

I remember that - it was KFC aiming to have the first advertisement viewable from space. |

Is it possible make our individual maps visible on our band pages or export them to other sites, like MySpace? |

not at the moment...or at least not to my knowledge. sounds like a cool idea, though. i know there are some sites out there that have code so you can build something similar into your myspace profile, though. i've seen bands on there who have done it, but don't have the slightest idea where to look...other than to google it. i know minusme has been working on a lot of new features over the past several months. maybe he can put this on our wish list. |

Cool. If and when it's possible to link the map, I'm sure an announcement will be made.
Thanks. |
