Hey guys

Thanks in advance for your thoughts. You can download her from www.triplejunearthed.com/strikingsmith - she’s the 2nd one in my list, but feel free to grab the first one if you like it too.

The site only plays back the tunes in mono, but the downloads are stereo.

I’ll return the favour if you have songs here or on Unearthed – feel free to rate or leave a comment for the masses there too.

Cheers

Tommy T

starry eyes

original music melt of very differents tones, very weird athmosphere and feelings you got...the digital whistle before the pause is a good idea, the song is a bit repetitive that's its main default i think

had a listen to 'Starry Eyes' first:

nice song all in all. the mix is really good and there's a nice flow. you've done a good job of taking a 3-chord song and making it sound interesting. the strings, bells, and whatever synth sound you're using (sounds like playing a saw blade with a bow) are a really nice touch. the vocal harmonies are really pretty and set nicely in the mix...prominent but not drowning out everything else. i agree with PPB, though, that it's somewhat repetitive, but that seems to be the nature of the genre you've chosen for the tune.

'Revolution Kiss'

this is a complete departure from 'Starry Eyes.' i was surprised when the beats kicked in. i like the clip from the beginning. where's it from because it sounds familiar? it's a nice, old-school dance track...heavy on the disco. the mix is also really good on this track as well. or at least it comes across in mono that way. Smile the only real complaint i have about it is that there's no breakdown or departure from the main theme to break things up a bit. it's like a loop that goes for 3:38. it's a nice loop, though. Laughing

both are really solid tunes altogether, though. best of luck to you. hope you stop back by to return the favor some day. Very Happy
