great work! i'm listening to "into the light..." and really enjoy it. it reminds me a bit of Dianogah at times and the a bit Don Cab or Battles if they were way tame instead of way crazy. i guess it's eh guitar sound more than anything with the latter references and the bass sound plus intertwining melody with the former. "Pheromone Queen" is also a fun tune. i snagged the album - thank you very much - and am looking forward to what awaits me. good luck. |

Ooh, those were nice references
Thanks to both of you for listening!
Btw gorgatron, you mentioned Dianogah then I would you advice to check out the German band Gaston (gaston-musik.de) which I was introduced to recently. They sound like a mix between Dianogah and The Mercury Program. Their album 'What time does your train leave today?' literally blew my mind |

thanks for the tip! always on the lookout for new music. if you haven't yet, another great german group is To Rococo Rot. it's way chill. they've been around for quite a while, so you've probably heard them.
thanks again and all the best!
p.s. i haven't check to see where you're located, but it you're ever in the KC, MO area (or lawrence, ks) give me a shout. i'd love to see a live performance. |

oh, also wanted to give you props real quick for using archive.org to put out your album. i love that site and pop by as often as i can without letting it suck me in. you can snag a lot of good live music there as well. i've tried putting our EP up there before but couldn't figure something out at the time. not sure what. it was also about three years ago and at the age of 27 i finally got a computer and internet access. it was sometimes rough, as you can imagine.
i've had a listen to almost the whole album (are there two songs extra on the version you have on archive.org?) and love it. if you listen to our band - acoustic duo, really- you'll notice that we sound nothing a like, but we are heavily influenced by progressive and post-rock. we've even drawn a few, loose comparisons. really happy FaceFitz pointed me this way. i'll have a listen to your solo material soon. hope to see you promote it in the forum if you haven't already. other than here i mean. i noticed you have some tunes on a profile here. cheers. |

Yeah, Archive.org is very confusing! I have always had difficulties when uploading but have always got the hand of it at the end
I just downloaded and heard all your tracks this morning and loved every single one. It reminds me of Pullman's debut record 'Turnstyles and Junkpiles', only there seems to be a bit more cool complexity to your tracks
You've got yourself a fan in Denmark now |
