the production quality is pretty good. at first it reminds me of Nickelback and then it kind of goes 70's metal. are you singing 'a slap in the face and a kick in the taint?' Laughing that's totally what it sounds like. if it's 'teeth' then the diphthong makes the long 'e' sound more like 'ae'. if 'taint' is what you're singing, it's probably the best line i've heard in a song...well....possibly ever!!! if it's teeth, then i'm a bit bothered by the vowel shift. i know it's odd, but i've always had issues with such things, except when it's actually a feature of a dialect. sort of how i would use a short 'a' sound in the word 'staff' but FaceFitz would probably use the long 'a' sound because he's not from the colonies but the old world.

regardless of whether you said 'taint' or 'teeth,' the song's pretty solid and has something that will appeal to a lot of people. best of luck and don't pay attention to my inner-monologue-turned-song-review up at the top...just pay attention to the bits that make sense.

Hey man, I understand, different strokes for different folks. I do appretiate you having taken the time to listen.
I checked out your material. Man you got an ecclectic sound goin on. Particularly I liked "the one with the E-bow. Never thought i would hear anyone do THAT with an E-bow. I've had one for quite some time, but never thought about doing anything "experimental" with it. Anyways, Keep doin ya thing, and stay true!!!!

Acctuallly its "teeth", and yeah i understand, what you said about the vowel shift.... it is kinda odd... i agree. Funny that you point out 70's metal, part of what gives us our sound is the 70's metal mixed with new school rock. SOMEONE ACCTUALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!!
so about your trax.....I REALY did your work..... I went about 5 years without an electric guitar, so I went on a long accoustic spree. And in my opinion, this is some HIGH QUALITY accoustic music.....Particularly "Ficus". VERY well written, and recorded!!!
On another note, Do I read correctly, you are from St. Joe. ? I lived there for a while. Played a couple gigs at the Purple Rose. Familiar with it??

thanks for the kind words. yeah, we're around st. joe. the thing about this town is that venues open and close pretty quickly. it must be long gone. i only moved here in late 2004 and it wasn't there then. we play at the Rendezvous and Cafe Acoustic. i'm not sure if the latter was here when you lived here but the Rendezvous has been here for quite a while, or at least i've gotten that impression. oddly enough, we usually end up playing with rock bands. many of those guys like our music and ask us to play with them. on the other side, there's only one acoustic act that tries to get with us. it's kinda strange, but it works. best of luck to you.

Thanks Padlock for your comments... much apreciated mate, loving this taint / teeth conversation...lmao... gonna check it out again now...lol....could turn into a nice gimmick type hook for music eh??...lol....i might try and write a song where at the end of every three lines i mispronounce a word, keeping the listener guessing...lol...think were onto something here guys... just dont tell the rest of the world eh??? Laughing

I think its a good idea to have a support band that sounds different to the headlining act, keeps the gig alot more interesting for me, but then again i bet there are people that struggle to allow 'acoustic' music into thier life if they're there to see a rock band etc....

gotta agree with 'Gorgatron' too mate, your music deffinately has a good marketable quality... and on the taint / teeth thing im gonna be neutral and say i can hear both in their...lol... keep up the good work mate... Cool

It has been since '99 since I was in the St. Joe area. I know what you mean about places closing down, its about the same here in East Tennessee. We do have a KILLER rock scene in the Tri-cities (johnson city, kingsport, bristol) area. LOTS of places there to play.

Yeah the subject does have quite a "comic relief" value to it, doesnt it. lol
Anywho, yeah I have to agree, by two bands with different styles/sounds, i think it brings MORE attention to BOTH....and isn't THAT what it's all about??

Thanx again for the kind words, and CHEERS to ALL!!

I had a listen too after hearing all this tainted teeth business going on.

I gotta say, its not realy my thing, but what i do note is the quality is awesome. The demo mustve set you guys a fair few bob, and its good to see you take it seriously.

I dont mean to be negative, and i hope i dont sound it, but for me, the vocalist doesnt quite live up to the standard of the music being played. Maybe im wrong on that, but he actually began to remind me of the kings of Leon singer (on mollys chambers) singing in a different style.

The music on the other hand reminded me a bit of a cross between G'n'R and metallica during the 80's. I may be wrong, but were these 2 large influences in the making of your music?

All in all, i'd end it with, its not my cuppa tea, but for the style you're pulling off, it works. The music could carry a long way, but the vocals seem a bit standard to me.

Hope that isn't too harsh, i dont often get chance to write feedback on songs as you may have seen by my post count, but what i do know is, at gigs i have always preffered when someone gives constructive criticism over compliments.

Take care, and keep rocking!

Played toothless. Has really good sounds to it. I envy the production. Not really sure about the vocals and lyrics, but hell what do I know. I think you guys are on your way.

this is not so bad but the mastering is not, the dry signal is very high it make this beeing like crashing in my ears with headphones, use and eq and better an enhancer sofware.Even if you want it too sound hard it must be better masterised if you want more clicks Very Happy
this is the only black point i have listened it at whole and it's well singed and played...a nice effort just work post production !

Man "Toothless" rocks....."thats all i got to say about that" (Forest Gump)
and nice to hear the guitar solo again...todays rock lacks the infamous solos....good job!!

"One More Chance" like the intro....guitar sounds good.....
ya know...you guys kinda remind of that band that did the song "Space Lord Mother"...or something like that????

it goes like this.....i said yeeeaahhhhh space lord mutha mutha,,,,lol
oh well....when i think of the band ill post it...Smile

but you guys sound good to me...except...uh oh...here comes the except right?????
maybe a little effect on the vocals...maybe a slight reverb...or at least not so dry sounding.....maybe double the track or something like that...
other than that.....im ashamed for missing out on listening to your music sooner.....
anyway....you guys keep it up!!

you're thinking of Monster Magnet, gunner. i still think they sound like a mix between Nickleback and Black Sabbath, myself, but way tough! liek the line, "a slap in the face, a kick to the taint." sorry, i meant "kick in the teeth." Laughing Monster Magnet also kind of has the 70s metal vibe going, which is where i hear a connection. rock on gentlemen. Cool
