I know some of you have been having a look at the new live material that we've put up recently, and we thank you and hope you've enjoyed. If you haven't yet, have a listen to The Loneliest Monk/An Exercise in Patience. It's a live recording of the two songs played back-to-back at a recent show. The former is new to the site and a studio demo of the latter has been up for quite a while.
The recording quality itself is somewhat crude and the performance is decent. There are the dreaded errors, but nothing that causes us to fall apart by any means. It was recorded at a small club using a 58 and a 57A on the guitars. There's nobody doing sound. Someone sets it up and you roll with it. If you need to be louder or there's any feedback issues, they come to the rescue. I can't remember if there's a lot of background noise on this one or not.
So, feedback on everything except the recording quality and passable performance, both issues which have already been addressed. is very much appreciated! |
