Hey! I've only been in the KC, MO area for a few years. I'm curious if anyone on here knows of a good place in KC for instrument repair. I have a Martin 000-16GT than needs some bridge work done and a new passive pick-up installed under the bridge. I also need some other junk done, but if they can do the sensitive stuff like bridge work, then I'm sure they can do whatever else I need.

I've already tried several places around St. Joseph, but always was disappointed by shotty craftsmanship. I'm starting to get kind of desperate. If you have any good tips, please share. Thanks!

i have a video from when i was in a punk band and a guy pissed on me. i then smash the guitar on his head. it wasn't an acoustic, but a really heavy hollow body. unfortunately, you can't see much of the part where i hit him with the guitar. does that count? Laughing you just see me raise it up and thrust of the body forward like i'm hitting him with the butt if a rifle. it then goes off screen. the next thing you see is him going back towards the camera and my fists smashing his face. they were such a crappy band...seriously...really, extremely bad. it was both the most punk punk-rock show that band ever played, and the only fight i've ever been in, thank goodness. for some reason, i get really, really, really violent when someone takes a waz on my leg. Laughing that was also the same guitar that i had to glue the neck together after every gig. it was split from dropping it on the headstock during another show. Pirate

i'm much more careful with my martin, though, and so far no one has felt the urge to pee on me either.

if i can get it converted from VHS to a digital format, i'd be happy to share. i'll have to find my copy, but i know one of my old band mates must have it. one of them can probably convert it for me. we had all of our shows on video. i'll see what i can do, but can't make any promises.

Wow dude, lmao... that sounds like great fun... some guy + urine + legs = angry Gorgatron.... it must have been quite a punky, punk band if you gets me... i dont think ive ever witnessed anything like that in my life...lol.. and i certainly wouldnt wanna see it happening to anyone i was on stage with (or myself)... Laughing i dont know whether id get angry or not really... guess thats something you just have to experience first hand and find out... good luck fixing you Martin up though dude, ive never had the privilage of playing one of those guys... just bought my mates acoustic off him tho... that should be cool, i havent owned an acoustic for like 6 years... i kinda bust my last one while i was having a party at my old flat... i got dead excited and after finishing a song sorta threw the thing in the air then controlled it as it landed with my foot (as if it was a football (or soccer ball to most of you guys) Razz ) of course my heel came down too hard and i basically cracked the whole front of the guitar... it held together for a bit but it was kinda imploding on itself and kept going outta tune... i finished it off about 3 days later by laying it down on the floor and stamping on it... poor guy... it was my first guitar.. Laughing
