Hello everyone..
I'm charlton with The Host out of Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm new here, but this seems like a great forum. Please take a few and check out the songs I uploaded to the site. I'm really looking forward to getting some feedback on the songs, meeting some new people and checking out the other bands on the site!
Thanks!

Hi & welcome to the UBW!!!
I'm listening to "Sets the Sun" as i type..
The opening is brilliant, and I love the way the rhythm and power change abrubtly from one structure to another. I like your lead singer, lots of emotion and compliments the music very well.
"On the May" is also really good. Again, really nice rhythms and vocals.
Between the two I like sets the sun better, but both were very enjoyable!! I'm looking forward to hearing more!!

Listening to Sets the Sun. The vocal reminds me somewhat of Rush. The band sounds good. The clean tone in the tune is nice.
On to the May. good sound on this too. This is probably my favorite of the two. I like the melody and chord progression quite a bit. kindof strange change at the end, but good tune |

Thank you! I'm not really a Rush fan, but I do hear that from time to time.

Hey Charlton,
when I first heard 'Sets the Sun' I got vibes of Rush too. That said, this is really interesting and inovative material with energy, power and unpredictability that flows well throughout the song. Great vocals and playing. I think you guys will really go somewhere.
For a bit of constructive criticism, In terms of production, I thought that the drums need to be brought out more in the mix to give the overall sound the power it deserves and the overall levels could do with being more uniform throught the track.
Great stuff! |

Thank you guys for the kind words!
We're having our CD Release show this weekend and then heading back to the studio to do the follow up EP "Transmit" in February.
I added a new song to our profile, "Red Smalltalk and the Lava Rose".
If you have a minute, please check it out!
Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment!
