Alright.... The lyrics I posted a minute ago were filled with anger, and when I wrote them, I was far from my usual, happy, and humorous self... In my world, I try to be as positive as possible. I smile a lot, and never for pretend, and I make the best of just about every situation I find myself in. But the fact is, thinking too much lately did remove me from my positivity, and when this happens, there's one thing I feel the need to do. -write something that counter-acts the negative feelings... So, the lyrics I'm about to post were written about 4 or 5 hours after "Retraction", and they are very symbolical, whereas the last ones posted were directly emotional expression. It's called "Octopus Glide", and I hope some of you enjoy it.

"Octopus Glide"

A creature of mystery,
with eight tentacles and zero feet
is alive
but hardly understood.
Star-shaped life-forms
live peacefully with the creature,
and water's purity
surrounds his existence.

(Chorus):
The bubbles rise
before his eyes.
Sometimes they burst
but that's alright.
The creature has a mind.
He rides the glide.
In his might...
he still survives.

(Interlude)

The creature looks ahead.
He's an octopus searching for kingdom.
Continuance is his way.

And I, am an octopus inside.
My will to fight is much like an instinct.
No threat can overtake.
Each time it tries, I survive.

(The following is sung 4 times):
I am octopus
(inside...)

(Music quickly increases in intensity.)

(The following is sung 4 times):
I'm an octopus...(!)
inside(!)

(Short Interlude, envisioned.)

(Chorus)

(Verse repeats, with "his" omitted in the last line, and replaced with "my".)

EnD

I know I'm not the first to say it, but music is therapeutic to the mind. I know this to be true, 'cause it hasn't failed me yet... Later!
