If I could only pick 1 i would pick Kool G Rap the most influential rapper of all time and lyrically no 1 can f**k wit him then or now.

Definatly feelin Guru and Tupac's lyrics but to be honest none in the mainstream ever really catch my ear or open an eye,you know?
I personally would have to say some of Cage's stuff,NoN Phixion,Sage Francis,Eyedea,Q Strange...were talking LYRICAL CONTENT,and some of the above mentioned blow everything out of the water with certain tracks...
Q Strange-"Heroin" or "Eternal Bliss"....
Sage Francis-"MakeShift Patriot"
Cage-"Shoot Frank" (most of his new shit is extremly metaphorical and lyrical)
NoN PhiXion-"Black Helicopters" among alot of other material
Almost everything that Ive heard from Eyedea excluding his battles is insane!!
This is purley my opinion, but there is MUCH more availible in the Underground that should be award winning than most think...pZ! |
