I listened to Abba alot growing up. I have some albums, mostly cassettes, but haven't listened in a long time. Abba's music stands up over time imho. It's rare that pop music like that will still have appeal 30 yrs later.
Of the older stuff, some of my faves:
Elvis
Beatles
Simon and Garfunkle
Van Halen
Journey
Boston

For old stuff its gotta be Jimi hendrix or pink floyd, Jimi is the best guitar player ever and pink floyd well they just made some incredible albums. Led zepplin, greatful dead, bob dylan, the who, and even some old johnny cash is some good stuff too

Umm... The MC5, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, James Brown, Chuck Berry, Arethra Franklin, Chaka Khan, Jimi Hendrix. I'm not a big oldies fan. I like many songs and artists from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. |

I think a majority of what I listen to is pre-90s, post-50s.
I love older music. This morning I was listening to Poison, while playing Deep Purple on guitar, which is kinda strange. But that's how I roll.
Led Zeppelin are clearly the best, though.
And Don Ho motherfuggles. |
