Most under rated artist today?

For all of you hip hop/ rap fans tell me who you think is the most under rated.

the most under rated artist right now is Styles P from the Lox(d-block) and my man Redman bot of theses artists are vets n the game are lyrically nice and still dont get promoted right or enough spins on the radio. www.unsignedbandweb.com/lordz_of_war

Nice post ture both of them are under rated but the most under rated. To me the most under rated artist today has to be Talib Kweli. Homeboy has sick lyrics very nice flow and he of all people haven't got that big media push. Who do you think people know more Style P and or Meth or Talib Kweli. Oh best believe that if you put these guys head to head 2 VS. 1 my man Kweli would put these guys to sham. Well just my opion that all.

I definately have 2 disagree with u on this 1 Kweli i met the dude at an album signing his 1st album wit Hi-tek was hot but ever since "beautiful struggle" contradiction the struggle isn't beautiful he fell off wit Mos Def. Now for SP Styles P from the Lox is poetic every bar has the same amount of syllabes he can get deep but not 2 deep 4 u to understand. Now my man redman been rhyming 4 14 years and is still UNDERGROUND come on after classic albums and movies hands down there are the most under rated n the game 2day both of there albums keep getting pushed back

Yo first off redmen has never done a dope movie and may have had only 2 good LPs. His lyrics are aight the only thing he got going for him is his flow. Style P his last LP was up in 2002 and to be honest wasn't all that great. Now he went back to the LOX then maybe he might have something. Now i will say Styles P has been around (w/ the LOX) but be honest what did you see/hear more of on MTV and BET Good Times by Styles P or Get By by Talib Kweli? Now this is when Style P 1st went solo and this was Kweli's 2nd album. Now Redman put him in the hole trying to act like I said before he's only had 2 ok CDs and that's me being nice. You can't even put Redman in this, he get's more face time then both of these cats put together. Now that's what I know!!!

"Dere iz a Darkside" "Muddy Waters" and "Whut thee ALbum"
plus numerous guest appearences the album wit Mef "Blakout" are all classic material and now u wont see Red on tv he's on Smack dvd's he's on def jam got hot joints but still dont drop "Red gone Wild" his latest album will show u and everyone else that dont hear Red like that . As 4 my nigg Styles his first album "Gangsta and A Gentlemen" was the hottest album that summer along w/i the AZ joint and the 50 cent mixtapes b4 he blew. Styles has full length mixes he does 4 the streets he's on every mixtape but they wont play him on he radio only in NY/NJ/Pa
"Time is money" is supposed 2 be out in july its been pushed back 4 a year and a half due 2 politics go 2 mixunit.com or mixapemurder.com and do some homework kiddo on the underground!

Yo first off i'm trying to take anything any from Styles or Red but fo real. The LPs you named from Red were way back and my question was Who do you think is the most under rated artist TODAY? Now Styles is ok and all but yet again back to my question. Now you say they have mixtapes and all this now that's fine and dandie but that's not saying much. Oh and when somebody is does all these guest spots he don't mean nothing. And you brought up Kweli getting diss by 50, yo 50 has no room to talk begin dissed by his own peps. So let me get this straight just because 50 did that it makes Kweli above the rest. Yo then mad MC dissing each other it don't any better or wrost. Yo you look any where and asking anybody 9 x out 10 people are going to say Kweli is much more under rated then Styles and Red. Oh yeah check around Red (main stream) Styles (getting there) Kweli (underground). Like i said ask around and then get back at me.

Yo Common isn't that under rated and Papoose the reason he can be called under rated is because he's only been coming out with mixtapes. Now with Mos Def I have to agree with you but he's still not more under rated then Kweli

Talib Kwewli is mad underrated, mos def is a little underrated but not like kweli. i have actually asked a few people before if they knew kweli and they were like....ummmm i guess, but they knew mos def.
talib kweli does not get the props he desrves

I have to disagree with the post altogether..if you are talkin about not then leave it for the artist of now..

Mos Def, Talib Kweli are underground Artist(Legends) and will stay that way..they dont care for the mainstream..

Redman is ol'school period...

Common use to be underground not caring about the mainstream until this last album and he is gettin his do..

Papoose hasnt even dropped an album so he cant be judged in my eyes..

Styles P been in and out of jail to even stay out long enough to be in someones ear..

if its my answer i will say the Clispe..1st album hot..Neptunes leae to creat their own label and didnt pick them up.. not the been un limbo for year and are bout to drop on the on label with dist. thru the neptunes label..

other then that i have to say anything coming out of the North right now..cause they arent posting the sales right not.. Busta went gold but anyone else that has dropped has done much..

I agree Talib is underrated,however not on my list...I listen to almost strictly underground.Its a PREFERED taste,but my favorite flavor to say the least...
