No, unfortunatly, we cant be equal as long as people out there are thinking this,,,and its not just a black thing either,
I also have a white friend that thinks the same way as your friend,,,,,
here's a little story for you that might shed some light on your delema..hopefully,

I, being a musician and also ex-navy, have never had any problems with any african-americans...okay so the story goes like this.....

I was doing some pipeline work in Ohio with a group of guys, and one of our crew was african-american,,he just liked to be called "Tim" not african-american,since he wasnt african, he was born in North Carolina,,,Get It????
We were the best of friends since we relied on each other day to day for safety reasons due to the nature of our work,,it can be deadly if you not carefull and have someone watching your back,,,,,,,
so, we never looked at each other as black or white,,
one day after work, we all went to the Hotel bar, we had gotten rained out and we decided to party instead, there were quite a few people in the bar,,,,all white and Tim was the only black guy there,,,,,
we sat at the bar amognst starngers, and when Tim came out of the bathroom, he came up to me and said "Whats up cracker"????
I said "What up Negro"???? and we both started to laugh our asses off,,,,well, here comes the juicy part,
the guys sitting at the bar, who we didnt know, about fell out of their chairs because what we had said,,,,and they were staring at us as if we were from another planet,,,,,they could not figure out why we had said this to each other,,,,,but, we knew,
we knew that words like this were not meant to hurt each other,,but, maybe as a way to say....WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!! we are people,,,,,,and neither one of us were alive or had any influence on what had happened 250 years ago with all that slavery shit...etc....
so i guess what Im really trying to say is.......tell your friend to look at individuals and not the entire race,,there are alot of whites and blacks out there that dont play the race card and are really good people,,,and would give the shirts off their backs to help,,,

Wel after alll that...I hope this helps,,,not just you,,,but others as well.

Keep on Rockin' its all about the music anyway...right??

Thank you, Gunner.
Very appreciated.
Your story does help a lot.
There are questionable things that we all do, but doesn't make a face for our actions.
It doesn't matter if anyone eats fried chicken. I eat it and I'm white. It just tastes good.
(that does little to why anyone is literally fat)

A white man, James Naismith (1861-1939) created basketball in 1891. Somehow it became a wild phenomenon for black players. It doesn't matter, because white people can shoot well.
All this just shows that anyone can do a great thing in one place. It's the spirit and not what you see outside. Our bodies are just vessels for our spirits. We have to look different, because we can know who we are talking about (to visualize, not discriminate).

That should help too.

I wish people would just ignore race/color/ethnicity and just accept that everyone is human and we're all equal. Racism is just stupid and I don't understand how people can justify being racists and being proud of it. Mad

Race doesn't correlate with DNA, thats a fact. You take an Asian and raise him in France and he'll speak French and be familiar with French culture and practices. It's just that groups of people of the same race are historically contained within a group that they inevitably procreate withing and pass on their culture and values to their offspring. The fact that they are black, white, native ect does not have anything to do with it. Its more an indictment of culture if you dislike a certain group. I think the word nig**er is a stupid word. Nobody should use it, especially blacks. Many blacks dislike raps use of the word. Racisim is archaic, a relic of ignorance.
