What's up everyone?

This forum is created for the fans of where TV Shows and Movies have gone since Day 1.
It was probably the 1880s or 1890s when the first silent films were just starting.
No one really cares for that, but everything has to have a beginning.

I just want to know how people respond to the Shows and Films they remember watching.
I didn't watch anything enough to grow up and have nostalgia on.
The one I actually did grow up with is Flight Of The Navigator (I was born in '83 - just to know).

Everyone that wants to mention anything they want about Films and Shows, go ahead.
I'll respond from now to the future.

A quote I like from the movie I grew up with
"Max: Ooh, a threat. Look, I'm really shaking!"

On the topic of movies - I have to say my fav movie of all time is Army Of Darkness (Evil Dead III)

If I watched goonies a few more times, as a kid, I would've grown up with it.
I remember the short circuits and the first evil dead.
It's just me, but they work for their own.

Evil Dead seemed to be a B-movie (right?). One of the editings (word?) was the full moon in the corner (that was just a different scene, just to get a feel of the environment).

Lost boys is one of my favorite vampire films. I know there is something else (past or upcoming - don't know?). I just can't think of it right now. Jim Carrey's Once Bitten is okay (80s too). It was before he got big.

Army Of Darkness is the epitome of B-Grade. (and cheese)...

I've also been waiting for them to do something about this for a while too...

I watched a little of the sequel (i think?). It was with three stooges slapstick with the skeletons and the evil mini versions of the main character.
I don't bother watching the rest of the Evil Deads, because I regularly watch B-grade films. I watched Silent Night, Bloody Night 1 and I thought it was mistakenly funny.

Howard the Duck I happened to watch a few times (more than 5 times ever since I was young). I find that one interesting, because the special effects I actually liked. I know there was two adult scenes - Lea Thompson got close on the duck in bed -and- before that- the process of him leaving his galaxy, where a naked female duck was there. Since at the time it was on tv it must have been edited so that was not a problem for the channel to be changed. I know it is George Lucas BMovie, but I happen to watch it when I was young. I rather watch all 6 star wars films over that.

Possibly the worst yet funny (because its so bad) movie ive ever seen is Hard Rock Zombies. Its about a heavy metal band (at least thats what the cover says) that can put zomies into a trance when they play. Not even a B movie, its like "hey we got 200 bucks, a camera, 50 friends, and the sh*!!est band ever. What can we do with that???? I know lets make a movie!!!" Seriously its bad!!! A link to it

the times were weird then......everyone was into what the future would hold,,,
there were no home computers,no cell phones,no internet,
all we had was imagination......so, everything science fiction then,,,,,,,,
But, My favorite movie of all time is......."Pulp Fiction"

One I remember alot is "Stand by me" - based on a Steven King short story, but not scary - just a real cool growing-up type story of a bunch of grade school friends.

"Explorers" is another one I remember liking alot. These kids somehow get psychically sent plans to make a spaceship that takes them into space to meet aliens. It sounds weird, but the story really is very good. This one is also about grade school kids growing up.

Explorers is awesome.
It happens to have the usual 80s effects, but it really is about the story.
I didn't know it until a little after it came out (born '83).

The scene with the fight had a connection with real life bullies and their victims.
Just like in A Christmas Story. The main characters of both get back, but more with A Christmas Story.
There is nothing wrong with liking 80s movies. The ones that count are where the story just runs smoothly and make sense for the world we live in. It has to have realism, but not to seem that cheesy. B-Movies are cheesy (especially the mistake horror b-grades). For example, I did watch the first Evil Dead and Silent Night Deadly Night. Those were just goofs.

Man where should I start. I grew up watching Reading Rainbow, hey what ever happen to that? I also watched G.I. Joe, ThunderCats,He-Man, Super Mario Bros. Super Show and all those ABC and Fox cartoons. I loved all those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movies, Home Alone, Alvin And the Chipmunks. Does any one remember Captin N: The Game Master? I think that covers it.

I watched the video game cartoon shows. That does include Captain N.
Captain N seemed like a goof when I look back at it.
It was something. A little after that show I did watch the original Sonic the Hedgehog show.
I did watch it much, but I caught glimpses of the Back To The Future and Teen Wolf cartoons.
