I don't know Alter Bridge, but the Creed sound isn't bad at all. It just got overplayed and at some point it became cool to dog them.

I know Creed broke up and all but whatb happened to Alterbridge? I remember hearing one song from them & a video on MTV and that's it. I haven't heard any music from Scott. I know he release an album but didn't hear any singles. Sad Oh well, I like Creed better. I've been recently getting into them.

Either group works, but they had to break up for a greater purpose.
Alterbridge has a more solid sound than Creed (fact).
Scott Stapp wanted to do more, but I don't whether he wanted to explore his christianity in his lyrics (his solo work after creed).

Let me just say a few things
Vocally - Alterbridge over Creed
Tunes - Alterbridge over Creed
Lyrically - Both (more towards Alterbridge)
Melody - Alterbridge
More solid approach - Alterbridge
Stronger performance - Alterbridge
Greater songs in an album (or overall - of all albums so far) ----> Alterbridge (1 album)

I will now say:
That Alterbridge has a whole lot more quality in an album - compared to Creed's 3 albums (seperated and collectively).

For the sound that found me Alterbridge is my all-time favorite group. (not opinion)
The sound is already in us. We have just search around and listen until some artist/group finds us. There is a real psychological and spiritual (not directly being religious) connection. If it were to be someone else it would be. It happened to be Alter Bridge. No one can control something automatic (myself or others).

TO smili, ad-na-ma, and porag12:
I'm certain you have favorite songs/artists/groups, because there is something in your psyche/spirit that automatically clicks with you.

That's why everyone has favorites. It's not just that they say it, it is because there is something inside that surrounds the inner most connection.

I want mention another thing since I am talking about the connection everyone has with music, films/shows, video games, and literature.
The following also includes something I ended up writing which follow in the next idea.
So bear with me. I may seem lazy, boring, and anything else, but I really don't know. I just wrote out. (this section up here has been typed after the following - editing, to get more said)
-----

In
Music - tunes and melody comes first, then the lyrics (or the other way around), the mood (soothing, compelling, epic, strong, sensitive, rush), genre

- (relating with any entertainment) -

Movies/Shows - story, chronological sequence (visually and script), genre, characteristic devlopment, where the story is heading, a balance of the story and the character development where the viewer gets more into the story (in depth, "You are glued to the [TV] screen ."
Video games - the feel, genre, gameplay, low/high replay value (maybe that), characteristics of playing area, the mood, process of direction in it's story
Literature - the feel, fast pace or slow, genre, written method (specifically who the writer(s) are), where the story is heading, character development (some or much) - a balance of the story and the character development where the reeader gets more into the story (in depth)

____________________________________________________________________
Still related, but on the side of entertainment within films.

The genres are important. For example, I automatically get into scifi/fantasy films, because there can be a movie which includes the idea of saving a dying world (Michael Ende's The Neverending Story is one great example). The early works of a genre are usually fresh. Sometimes it has to come from the other side of the globe. Sometimes the years have to go by (for a specific genre) until someone or some group creates a very powerful story line.

"There is no more hope for horror movies." - tons of people say that. It's really about the suspense, mystery, and the pyschological feel. Horror can still be made. It just needs new ideas involved in the story. The cliches can be thought out - in the character(s) - before the cliche's result. It gets rid of what usually happens.

Parts of what I typed are grammatically correct, but also in a list fashion.
